Why, exactly? Because of an optional add-on for Monster Hunter? If anything, this is only good news—the 3DS is getting Monster Hunter. The Vita's in big trouble! (At least in Japan, that is.) =PNintendo's through.

Oh? I haven't heard about a Vita Monster Hunter yet. Well, even if that is true, the 3DS is already out and Monster Hunter Tri-G will be out before the Vita is released.from what i heard..
3ds is getting the wii version while vita is getting a brand new monster hunter.

For your second question, no, there are no plans to bring it to the West for now.

A reveal this big, and a whole hour goes by with no posts at all? Wow, TBT really is dead.
Stop bashing nintendo for adding the new pad, it's an option, don't like it don't buy it. Although I do believe it should have been added to the 3DS's first finished version, but meh.
It already beats Nintendo with its release titles, like Uncharted. That is the most ridiculous looking thing I've seen in a long long time.
Vita really doesn't have to work hard to best this...
That doesn't mean it will be required for those games. It could, and probably will, be a completely optional peripheral. But I'm sure other games will want to use its functionality, so people will kind of be forced to buy it.

but.. how would nintendo mass produce you?I could, and probably will be, a completely optional peripheral.
