They should appear when the tree grows fully after a few days. I always got duds until I tried 99k. I'm not sure if it is true or not, but someone told me that the bells you bury is the percent chance you will get a money tree. Like 99k = 99% chance of making a bell tree.
there is a VERY small chance of getting money trees if you bury just 1k. the amount buried will determine the chance of it actually bearing fruit (fruit meaning money in this context lmao).
people who dont have access to regular saplings will bury 1k with the golden shovel instead haha.

You can plant more than 1 but only 1 will bloom. The odds are better with a 99k tree than with a 1k tree. It will fruit just like a regular tree. If you shake it though ,you will not have a new crop of bags. I had a visitor shake my tree when I wasn't looking.I've heard you can only plant 1 money tree per day. I haven't tried it myself... but for those who plant more than 1 tree a day, perhaps they can help you there! I'd probably want to plant a 99k tree lol.

i thought that the trees only bear 3 bags of like 30k. WHICH IS ALMOST 99k ALTOGETHER. but still
E: ALSO. if you dont shake a money tree that HAS bells on it still, itll look/act like a non-fruit tree.

I'm not sure what your goal is. This isn't a good money making scheme given the probabilities - I think people do it because it's fun to have the trees in town. So the best probability of actually getting bells to bloom is the 99K bags.
so people honestly spend almost 100K to have a tree grow that looks just like all the other trees, and if you shake that tree, it'll drop 90K of money, but only once, then afterwards will actually become just a normal tree? hm! no thanks, doesn't seem worth it to me. it would be a little different if you could actually see the money bags growing on it.
The amount of money you drop is the percent of whether or not your tree will bloom into a money tree. So if you plant 30k bells, you only have a 30% chance of getting the money tree. If you get a successful money tree, the amount of bells you can get is 90k (3 bags that have 30k each).
You can see the bell bags on the trees, they have three showing like the fruit. I have money trees in my town and Island and they look pretty cool. 100k isn't much to me anymore though. It's not a good idea to use them to make more bells, just for decoration.

I personally would just do it for the landscaping. Seeing the money trees with the bell bags. I'd just leave them on it for show. xD
