Molly, Maple, or Skye??

I dislike Skye, so I may be biased. I personally love Molly!

Molly or Maple. They are very simple and average looking yet they still turn out to be cute and adorable.

I didn't even know that Maple had been in every game of the series until recently.

However, if OP still needs help (which I kinda doubt), I would go with Skye or Maple.

I think Daisy is absolutely adorable. She's one of my two favorite sweety (that's the word they use in Japan for normal villagers) villagers in the entirety of the AC world. My other favorite is Coco. She's just too perfect for words. Since you're moving in Merengue, have you given any thought to Tia, the awesome and adorable teacup elephant? I think she and Merengue would suit each other wonderfully.
