Missing old villagers

Lately I've had this weird problem where I miss old villagers I had in the past. For example, I let Diana go because she got boring and I let Molly go because she was best friend status. I let Aurora go for another villager despite her being one of my original 5 and a best friend from my Gamecube town. I lost Poncho and Jacques to TT'ing accidents so that is different. Oh and I let Cherry go to move someone in. I'm happy to have her back but I actually will probably move her out for Shari...again XD. Anyway, I got them all back because I missed them and now it feels right. Does anyone else here ever end up somewhat regretting villagers go and then tries to get them back?

I know exactly how you feel. List of villagers I had, let go or lost, deeply regretted and missed, and now brought back into my villages:
Merry, Grizzly, Octavian, Scoot, Punchy, Coco and Carmen (from back in the City Folk days)
Shep, Julian, Pietro, Daisy, Pancetti, Portia, Rod, Jacques, Mac, Zucker, Paula, Tia, Naomi, Hazel.
I am still missing Tipper like crazy, but my towns are all full.

This happened to me recently actually. I let go of Zell to get Marshal and the next day I completely regretted it. I have him back in my new town now and like you said it just feels right.

I kinda miss Goose even though he wasn't that great. He's still wandering around Main Street though.

Aw I'm seriously considering trying Tipper again. I saw her in a cycling town tonight. However I am reappreciating Diana again so not yet. XD

Yeah. While I REALLY DO NOT LIKE NAOMI/she is creepy...I would like Tipper. I like the invisible and hard to find villagers.

Sometimes I really miss Marshal. I let him go to make my cat town. If I didn't have a theme I'd invite him back to my town in a heartbeat.

I missed him too. I got him for a 2nd time but gave him to someone a week and a half later to get Jacques back. I just love Jacques as my smug. I can't explain it. His eyes...his green accents, his beanie, his club house...it is just so ME. I can't live without him.

Oh yeah, I missed the ones I moved put not becoming fully friends with them. I also missed the chance to get their pictures as a good memory of having them in my town. When I see the past villagers in mainstreet I always think back to the days when I began animal crossing new leaf and makes me feel all nostalgic and vulnerable, sometime xD

Yeah I can't even imagine letting Carmen go yet. I got her original and I'm forcing her to stay original because in her original state she's so appealing and fun to talk to.

See I love how everyone here has their own perspective and love of villagers because I got Whitney through campsite and let her go willingly. I feel like wolves are...eh. I have Lobo, though, because I had him in 2002.

I really miss Agnes. I loved how caring and fun she really was, but I wanted to let her go so that I could make up more space for my dreamies. I haven't thought much about how this'll probably be the last time I'll have her in my town, though. By the time she left, I already regret the decision and wish she could spend time in my town just a little more.

Thankfully, I have given her to somebody else instead of getting stuck in the void, so I'm sure that person will enjoy having Agnes in their town as much as I did.

I miss my Shep so dang much I was close to get him back but the 16 villagers cycle tear us apart D':

Yep only mine was by accident. I had no idea Ed was leaving and I had got so attached to him. I'm going to give up on getting him back though as I've nearly completed ny villagers list, one or two will change at some point but that's it. So unless I start a new town I will never have Ed again
It also makes me wary of letting any of my current villagers go....in case I don't like who I replace them with or just miss them too much

My 16 cycles are finally over for Stitches, Bunnie, and Molly It feels so nice to have them back! I wish I could have Wendy or Maple back, but I'll just make sure to get them in Rosebud or my third town.
