Don't you think that we are missing some animal species in the games?
Frankly, it would be nice if we had skunk characters since we got Kicks ever since City Folk.
I think it would be nice if we had lambs who looked smaller and even cuter than the sheep.
It would be nice if we had foxes as villagers, they would be smaller than the wolves.
After all, we have a iconic fox in Nintendo games and just having Redd doesn't feel right.
I'd actually also like to see more diversity within the species. For example the dogs: Isabelle and Digby are dogs but look totally different than the dog villagers. They could possibly long haired dogs and cats!
Also, I like the idea of having more giraffes, instead of just Gracie!
OK so I have a couple. Gracie is a Giraffe. I think her design is really cute and unique however don't you agree that there should be multiple giraffe characters with maybe a story behind them. For example a Giraffe named Stacy. Gracie and Stacy were sisters who were split as children. Stacy thought of Gracie as an idle and they finally got to meet each other and then Gracie and Stacy met later in life and worked at TNT Emporium together. And then there should be 3 other giraffle animals that are actually baby giraffes which would look A-dorable!
Also there should be Panda villagers. Because Pandas could be in a house similar looking to Cocos and potentially have bamboo shoots placed around as if they are part of the houses actual exterior design. Or maybe the Pandas could be just one panda and be a bit like phoebe/drago or Julian as like a special character and be classed as a bear making the panda popular. For a female panda they could carry their offspring around. It would look Uber cute!
Furthermore there could be Camel villagers like Sahara because Sahara has a really cool design and in my opinion a white camel would really amazing.
Also as mentioned before. A fox would look cool and perhaps a silver fox could be slightly larger than the rest and be maybe the alpha of the foxes and also be a popular villager.
Ooh dang I'm getting loads more ideals as I type. As an extra villager perhaps a sabertooth cat. It could be a cranky and is only ever awake between 10pm and 8 am times where you can still see the villager. And also ifor this was awkward to do. You could have it as a visitor that comes once every year on a particular day such as the first day of winter. I know it is not an actual special day but it could be an animal crossing day maybe called the dawn of the cats. And there could be multiple old things aside from a sabertooth. For example: Megaladon Finns can be seen wading through the water and a shadow beneath it in between the times 3 and 4am, Fossils in the museum have skin on and make noises as an easter egg and also there could be water dinosaurs added so there are more fish.
I know the last bit of that paragraph was nothing to do with villagers but the sabertooth could result in these things happening creating an eerie affect. But yeah I like every single one of these villager types and it seems really cool to have more villager species. I hope that animal crossing developer see some of these ideas because I really want foxes and Pandas lol for some reason I like background stories too so I really want multiple giraffes.

speaking of pandas, i think there should be a bear villager designed after a red panda. and a wolf designed to look like a husky. i think a sphinx cat would be cool too!
as for actual new species, i think any species that was given to special characters but not to villagers (e.g. owl, fox, skunk, hedgehog) should become a villager species. it just seems fair, ya dig?

I agree to an extent, it makes them stand out a bit more (particularly the dogs). Although I wouldn't mind sloths being available, Lief is adorable.
Aside from that I can't really think of anything that isn't already done at all. Red panda would be neat, but actual red pandas are closer to raccoons than pandas so I'm not sure how that would work with the bear model. Different styles of deer (moose, elk, caribou, etc) would also be kinda nice.
