Missable mannequin?

I've gotten the QR machine for a pretty long time yet Sable hasn't gave me a mannequin. Granted, I don't talk to her everyday but is there any other requirement to get the mannequin?
Or have I lost the chance to get Sable's mannequin forever? If it's the case then this is the 2nd time I've missed her mannequin

I don't think she gives one. You get one from Mable, Labelle and Gracie.

I got a mannequin from Sable in my old town. But I just randomly talked to her one day and she gave
me one.

I think it's 51 pieces of clothing and high friendship w/ Sable. I know she gave it out almost the same time as Mable.

I got the mannequin the very next day from sable after she gave me the qr machine and I haven't bought 51 clothes yet. With my other characters, it took longer. My guess is it is random. Just keep talking to her every day.

I don't think using the QR machine has anything to do with it. The first time I got Sable's mannequin, I hadn't used the QR machine at all and second time I might have used it once, not sure (different towns). Unless you mean just talking to Sable and she asks you if you want to use it?

To get a mannequin from Mable you have to buy 50 clothing items (tops, bottoms, dresses).
If you bought all 5 items each day, it would take you 10 days to get your first mannequin.
To get a mannequin from Sable you have to buy an additional clothing item (51 total) then talk to Sable after you have bought it.
To get a mannequin from Labelle you have to buy an accessory (I don't know if hats count) for 31 days. Buying multiple items in a day doesn't count, it is the number of days that count here.
To get a mannequin from Gracie, once the final store upgrade has happened, buy any item from Gracie (doesn't have to be clothes).

Yup, that's what I thought. And I am positive hats count, I mostly bought hats when I was working towards that mannequin. After all that I couldn't believe how easy it was to get Gracie's mannequin, it's like it's really a reward for unlocking the shop.

I talked to her from the day I started playing consecutively until I got my sewing machine.
Then she gave me her mannequin

You can't exchange mannequins in any way.
They can't be out in retail, dropped, or sent in mail. You can only sell them directly to Reese.
