Has anyone heard of miniature amiibo cards?

I am looking to buy a few amiibos and this seller is saying they’re miniature but will still work.

Just looking for confirmation that this is actually a thing.

Sounds like fan made amiibos. They work just as well as the official ones, and until Nintendo actually reprints them, the fan made amiibos are the only option for a lot of people. If you really care about having official ones, they can still be found on ebay. But they are very overpriced at the moment.

They're most likely fanmade. I've never used them myself but I've heard they work just like regular ones.

Is there anything to look out for when buying fan made amiibo cards?

Since they’re fanmade there’s really no way to tell if they’ll work or not. Some sellers make it look nice by printing the villager images while others leave It plainwith just a name. The only thing that could really guide you is to look up feedback for the seller.

They're expensive, not overpriced. If they were overpriced, no one would buy them, and that's not the case.

To the OP, they're aftermarket products using Nintendo's hacked/stolen code...enter at your own risk.

Thanks everyone <3

I think I found a decent seller on offer up who’s really affordable. I hope they work... he has good ratings so we’ll see.

Yeah it sounds like fan made. If it’s Ntag215 they should work. I made some myself and work perfectly (mine are small quarter shaped, they don’t look like amiibos but work).

I got some fanmade ones and they work like a charm. I don’t have access to original ones in my country, no matter how much they cost. If you checked the seller’s feedback you should be golden :) people said here in the forum that Nintendo can’t actually tell if you’re using a fanmade one because the code is the same or something
