Mini-heart attack

I had forgotten to put my SD card back in my ds and loaded up ACNL (on cartridge) and I saw the text thing pop up with that scary red outline saying something about spotpass data not being found and I eventually realized it was because I didn't have the sd card and oh my god thought my town was gone...
For a second there my heart just stopped I swear
whew..
Anyone ever had something like that happen?

The other day I just left my 3ds sitting out and open on the animal crossing starting screen and I guess I sat on it or something and pressed some buttons and the next time I looked at it I was on the train with Rover. I literally thought that somehow my town got deleted and I was starting the game all over again. It turned out I had just clicked to make a new save file and my old town was still there. My near death experience.

Yes. Actually that same exact thing, lol. I put my game into one of my other systems, and I saw that. Insta-heart attack right there.

it didnt happen to me but i guess i will have a heart attack as well if something similar happened to me lol

That's never happened to me, but I always have a mini heart attack when I'm loading the game and Isabelle starts with the 'Oh, by the way...' thing and I panic until I know it's not a move-out

I am very VERY careful about saving my game properly and I never touched any of my SD cards before. I can't bare the thought of my save file going corrupt or mistakenly deleted. I put my ACNL cartridge in my new 3DS XL and I had to activate the spotpass again. But nothing serious has ever happen to me.

Yep, I put my cart into my old 3DS (I'm playing something else on my new system) and it came up. I was so scared.

New leaf is one of the few games I have on cartridge and I play it all the time, so I haven't taken it out of my ds much since I got it like 2 years ago xD I got HHD for christmas, took new leaf out for the first time in forever, and when I put it back in, my ds read it as HHD and wouldn't let me access it. I freaked out and thought my cartridge was broken, but it read normally the second time.

ugh yes. i was super tired one day and accidently turned it off while saving. nothing happened though. so it must have actually been done saving lol i was so darn scared. especially since i had just got all ten villagers i had been wanting on that same day.

i've done the exact same with the sd card the first time i used it
the panic wasn't real tho, because i just started a new town, but now i know it's just because i forgot to put the sd card back in and i dont sweat it when it pops up lmao
