I think the games will be great -- if you play them by yourself all the time, they may get boring quicker for you, but if you play with people, it could be lots of fun! Plus you have to unlock the harder ones.
How do those mini games have less replay value than the same races in Mario Kart 7? I know I don't play them over and over while solo, but I'll play them tons of times with my husband ... and even though they are like you are working together, whoever does better, gets more medals. I see competition already!
I'm actually greatly looking forward to the minigames! I'm sure they'll get repetitive and boring after a while, but I have a brother and a couple of online friends who I know I'll be frequently playing with, and that makes the minigames so much more fun to me.
Sure, I'll get bored of them like I do with everything. But they won't always be boring. I'll eventually go back and get bored again. Never-ending cycle really.
The mini games aren't that exciting, but it's nice to have them there as an option for something to do. They're much more fun in multiplayer, though, I discovered last night. Just wish they were more competitive.
