Mermaid mailbox, bug?

My pretty Mermaid castle has a mailbox, which I think is haunted by a bug.

I first noticed it when I stopped getting HHA Challenge mails. Normally you'd get 1 letter each day to update you on your score. But I didn't for 3 days until I massively redecorated all rooms. The next morning I found 3 HHA letters.

Today it happened again. Yesterday I ordered more then 10 items from the catalog. My mailbox was blinking and shaking because it was full. When I took 7 of the letters out it kept blinking like mad, without moving though, while normally it should go back to the normal blink per second (or something like that).

Is anyone familiar with such bugs?

aaah i have the mermaid letterbox too and i find it does that mad blinking after i half-empty it too! it's really weird tbh.

It'll keep rapidly blinking until you close it. I'm guessing it was still open.
As for the letters, I suppose it had something to do with the redecorating. I dunno, I don't do the challenges.

I don't have the mermaid mailbox but when I have a full inbox, it keeps wildly blinking even if I take out all but one until I save and quit
