Merengue or Diana?

i slightly prefer merengue's design, but someone once mentioned to me that diana has "recently widowed woman who profited vastly off her husband's mysterious death" vibes and tbh i'm a sucker for murder mystery tropes so diana wins for me~

Diana. She’s pretty. Plus she’s a snooty. So that makes her pretty with a personality. Also, this is biased because I don’t like big villagers and Merengue is a rhino.

Well. Both are cute but normal personalities are real boring to me. I don't care for their dialogue how they're reading, "today I stepped on a snail and cried".

Also, Merengue is not easy to dress. Sure body-wise but hats (I guess they might be ok) and even accessories seem risky. Do not. I repeat do not give her glasses.

I might go with Diana.

Diana by far. I love the deer villagers sm. Diana is just so posh and elegant and absolutely lovely.

Merengue is cute but all the rhinos and hippos feel super unsettling to me for some reason. It might be the eyes being on the side of the head.

Out of the two? Diana. Her personality is more unique since there’s a lot more normal villagers that I like over Merengue

Diana is my favourite villager so I'm a little biased here... she's elegant, refined, and mystical. She fits the snooty personality exceptionally well.

She is also inspired by my favourite Roman goddess (also named Diana), the goddess of the hunt and the moon. There's a myth that a huntsman found Diana bathing in the woods with her nymphs, and as punishment, she turned him into a deer. Diana's house having a bathhouse theme is also a direct reflection of this myth. I just love that attention to detail.

Hear, hear! (Only my current fave is Deirdre, still really love Diana, though.) For me, it would have been perfect if she was named Artemis, but for the rest my reasons for liking her are the same.

I prefer Diana. She’s so eleganzaaaa. Just look at her overall design and house. She’s my go-to snooty other than Francine because I think she encompasses the personality so flawlessly lol.

I came across Merengue on a mystery island and only considered adopting her for a minute. But then I reminded myself that I probably would cycle her out for someone who has her as a dreamie.

Maybe if Merengue wasn’t a normal it would be different (I already had two normals at this point as well oops). I understand her appeal; even in NL, I just didn’t see myself “clicking” with her even though she’s dessert themed.

I also have Diana in my own island. She looks divine especially with her glasses on. She's a high class deer that no one can ever reach!

I have both, but Merengue is a normal personality(Sounds like Pokemon), which means she's kind to everyone. Diana is snooty, which means she can be judgmental, and kinda mean. funny you put these two as options, because in my town they're BFFS

Both are pretty cute, but I think they're opposites in the sense where Merengue is cute, whereas Diana is fabulous. I like both, but I'm a bit more biased so I would be inclined to pick Diana since I like how elegant she is! Merengue's strawberry horn deserves a cute shoutout though

I like Diana's design but her eyes make me lean towards Merengue. Plus, she's a strawberry rhino, so no doubt I choose her lol.

Diana for sure in my opinion - she and Olivia are about tied for my ideal Snooty villager that I could dress up in the elegant dresses I keep buying that I'm unlikely to ever wear since they're mostly white and will look good in a wide variety of clothing. Merengue is cute and all, but she's just not my type of villager.

Honestly was having double thoughts whether or not I wanted to switch Merengue for another villager and the first villager I thought of was Diana lol so, I just wanted to hear everyone's thoughts c:
