actually the sims 3 keys are the same from both steam and origin. i think they run separately ^^

They can be redeemed for games. So he has a Medal of Honor Steam key, which means you can put in the keycode for the game and you'll be able to play it, as if you personally bought the game.

You can only play Sims 3 Late Night if you have the base game, but Medal of Honor you can purchase and play without any other games.

So if I understand well, the key is like the "real" CD? Like for your late night, if you give the key, then it will download the real game, like if you bought it in a store? Or is it kinda illegal? I already have the game, I am interested if you have other sims 3 games in the future :>

Not a CD - it's literally a code in which you input to The Sims Website to get the full DLC game. It's not illegal as far as I'm aware, though distribution is frowned upon.
