Mayor..to resident.

So i have my town- Oasis which i am mayor of. If i make a new save file, will it over right my mayor town? or will i be able to be a resident in a new town?

are you wiping the mayor?

wiping the mayor wipes the town iirc

though if you just mean adding a new character, that should be fine. they won't be mayor, but your town should stay and they'll just be another resident (max 4 humans, 1 mayor 3 non)

If you pick "new save file" at the start of the menu. You will make a new character. The new character will be a resident and your mayor will still be the mayor. The mayor will always be the 1st character you created.
