The person that had the highest bid when you changed the rules can report you and also leave a negative wifi rating as well.

Changing the rules after an auction has started is wrong, unless of course, it is in the favor of those bidding and not because the person running the auction is not getting the bids they wanted. That is the risk one takes when they do an auction. Sometimes you get a great price, sometimes you do not.

If you are looking for a specific price, just list it for sale with that price. I would love to buy a May birthstone (cuz my bday is May) ...I just have no interest in auctions.

I agree, just list a price. Just a friendly heads up, unless you made a special reservation at the beginning of the auction that the end time may chance, what you did goes agains the forum rules. If someone actually reeports you, you may end up with an infraction. (which are no biggies, but I still personally feel bad when I get them, lol)
