I don't understand why they've done the demo the way they have. So I get three 1 hour chances to play the demo all on the same day (9th)? The way the times are split up means I'll probably only get the chance to play once and I would have to plan around that time as well...
I expected like one single player level or the tutorial to be available to try out at least just to have a play around with.


I think I'll just wait for the actual launch.

Considering in the direct it said that the inklings are around 14 when they are able to change into humanoid forms I think it will be more than just kids who will want to splatoon little girls

I'm pretty sure the only purpose of this "demo" is just to act as a stress test for their server infrastructure, so the launch isn't a disaster like many other games we all know of these days. One hour time windows are the best way to get as many people online as possible.

That said, giving people a small taste of the gameplay as a side product is definitely a nice plus as well. This is uncharted territory for Nintendo to give such an open test for a game before release. Just throwing people straight into pure matches for an hour, not a manufactured staged demo optimized to make the game give the best possible impression.

I wonder if there will be more than one map though, the file size is pretty small.
