Max year you can set your town is in.....

I was kind of disappointed. I wanted to set my town to 2118, since it's supposed to be in the future. It's not that big of a deal, but I would have liked it.

No it would go back to whatever the first year is. Probably either 2000 or 2013.

That would be weird, how odd would it look when you look through the town’s timeline :S it would keep overlapping every 37 years. It would be awesome if a town was 100 years old :D

I work at a gamestop and the DS systems are going out for sure... Our trade values have dropped significantly and game releases are few and far between (the only one in a while being detective pikachu). I'm sure there will still be people playing DS systems in 2051 though, "retro" gaming lmao. I wonder if maybe you can set your physical 3ds system date to something farther than 2050?

Over here in england CEX (the equivalent to gamestop)sell ds games for nothing, where as 3ds games haven't lost their value, picking up another copy of animal crossing is 30 quid. Crazy. :S

Are you talking about DS systems or 3DS systems? Any models in particular?

Prices around me for DS systems - DS Lite, etc. are going up slightly. I keep hearing that original 3DS systems are failing recently - hinges breaking, screens failing, won?t turn on, etc. it?s as if all the original 3DS were built with a life span until now and the species will soon be extinct!

Can you tell us more about the DS and 3DS systems you are getting in trades at your store?

I just had a copy of acnl come in- and it’s sellback price is at 18$! It seems that as far as 3DS systems and games go, Pok?mon and Mario games are holding their value pretty well (selling back preowned at 30-40$!) as far as the systems go, we don’t even offer original DS systems (at my location anyway) and NEW 2DS and 3DS systems are still selling new every so often. We still take all DS systems but the buy back value is significantly less(50-70$). I agree as far as the original 3DS having issues- I’ve had many people bring them in to trade for newer models. Common problems are the hinges, and not working unless plugged into a power source (batteries not holding their charge) and the announcements for new 3DS games are lessening like I said, with the rise of the Nintendo switch.

Game releases that are supposed to be pretty big are the new Pok?mon game that’s TBA for the switch, and the new harvest moon game, and the new smash bros.

Its in the hall of Nintendo fame or whatever it is called & you can buy it new for 19.99 :P

What do you think will happen to the game when we get into the year 10,000 and it's 5 digit numbers

Has anyone tried setting their ACNL game to be on New Years Eve 2050 and seeing what happens the next day?

I've done this many times. Once it's the New Year, the date goes back to 1/1/2012.

They probably just made it to 2050, then when it gets close to that year, they’ll update the game to fit the time system.
Or everyone will just forget about Animal Crossing New leaf :D

Imagine if you could set your town in the year 2050 and than come back around 10000 years later...

Oh my god. The weeds.

THE WEEDS.
