I put vote in, kinda expecting Marshal to have the most votes... and was pleasantly surprised to find that Jambette has the most votes. As she should.

Of the two initial competitors, I would honestly go with Jambette. I didn't think much of her at first; her design wasn't really appealing on its own, and in my main New Leaf town she appeared one day and plopped her house right on top of my only patch of purple roses at the time. I was fairly frustrated with her at the time and couldn't wait for her to move out, but as time went on and I was waiting for her to finally ask to leave, I started to warm up to her. Eventually she did ask to leave and I let her go, but with a newfound appreciation for our frog princess.
Marshal, as I stated in another thread where he's being pitted against Raymond, doesn't really have anything that makes him positively stand out to me in the design department. He's also one of the villagers, like Flurry, whose designs actually kind of bug me because he just sort of looks incomplete due to the lack of a nose. There are a few villagers who lack noses that still make it into my favorites, like Ankha and Tiffany, but they're the exception for me because they have aspects to their design which make them stand out in a cool way.
Speaking of Tiffany, she's the one who I gave my vote to in the poll. She's one of my absolute favorite villagers, just love her design. I have her living in one of my New Leaf towns, a hybrid circus/magic show-themed town, and like to imagine that she's the assistant to my mayor since that mayor is the ringleader of the circus and a magician, and rabbits are associated with magicians due to the trick of pulling a rabbit out of a hat. I managed to find a poster of her and threw it in my New Horizons house. Lovely lady.
