the first post listed that the increase increment is 500k. that's the minimum a person can go up, and no less than that. it's not restricted to that amount though, so it can go for more than 500k, and that person can increase by 4mil if they want. that's how auctions work, so please don't spread false information.

Hey, guys, another update here 
I hope you all can bear with me, this is my very first auction on The Bell Tree and I was unaware that they are usually over in a matter of hours. Auctions I've done in other places have gone on for about a week, hence why Marshal is not in boxes yet. In the future my auctions will definitely go faster on this site! I'm doing my best to get Marshal out of my town; I haven't talked to him in forever, and I've been time-traveling. Again, I really hope you all can bear with me and I apologize for being such a noob. The auction IS still on and will be seen through to the end!!!
