Mario Kart 7 and that stupid blue shell.

That blue shell is almost always flying at the last lap which sends you off to 6th-8th place. It can't be just me, and this always seems to happen RIGHT BEFORE YOU'RE ABOUT TO GET 40/40 POINTS.

This has been my problem with Special Cup. I've been trying to get 3x Gold Stars on that cup because it's the last one in the second tier of the Grand Prix. These ****ing blue shells are being tossed at you at the most inconvenient times. I ragequit erry time.

If you haven't noticed yet, the blue shells actually served to prevent top players from essentially having a huge lead ahead of the more unfortunate ones. I dare you to try any other racing game that doesn't have it with your friend, and see on how uneventful a race is when the leading racer is too far away to catch up.

Though, it's pointlessly annoying in single-player because it only wastes my time should a CPU player overtake me afterwards on the final lap with no chances to back up. There goes my 3 stars ranking-- *ragequit*

I've seen people online get hit by over 3 shells in one race. They still stay in 1st though because they are so far ahead of everyone. Its all about knowing the course secrets I guess?

Blue Shells never bother me. I don't know why people are bothered by it. Playing with my friends with items off is incredibly boring, I fell one time and never got a chance to get back up to first place, even though I'm always first place when I play against them and even with the shells I still am.

Maybe if more people learned to dodge the shells they will open up to it. Those ways are; dropping to second when a blue shell is shot and using a mushroom at just the right time. A mushroom can be easily gotten through the item box up the hill if your on the DK Pass stage.
