No worries! I would imagine one person would have an empty plot ready for the villager. In this case, I can create my 10th plot. Then I will go to the other person's island to talk to the villager. I tt forward a day, so Marina is in boxes. They come over talk to Marina, so she can be over at their island.

I'm relatively new to this too, so I don't know how other people do it.
