Mannequins? Need Help

Hey guys! So my mayor villager has two mannequins, but my other alt doesn't have any. I tried to drop one of the mayor's so the alt could get it, but I soon found out you couldn't do that.

Anyway, I did some looking around and it said that I could get a mannequin by buying something from Gracie's shop. So I did that for my alt and didn't get anything...it also stated that buying 50 pieces of clothes does this to.

I've been buying clothes for the last day or so on my alt, but I'm worried I'll just run into the same thing and not get a mannequin for my alt's room theme. Can the mannequins only be obtained once for the entire town and that's it? Or can each villager get one of their own by passing the requirements?

Because the Gracie mannequin requirement listed that I only had to buy one thing and it didn't work at all. Thank you!

I believe that each character in your town can get the mannequins. You can't drop them on the ground, as you discovered, so you just have to earn each one individually.

Each player you have can have up to 4 mannequins.
You purchase 51 items of clothing from Able sisters and Mabel will give you one.
Befriend Sable and after getting the QR machine, continue to talk to her freguently.
Purchase at least one item on 31 different days from Labelle.
You get one from Gracie. I'm not sure when.

Thanks guys, I was just worried that maybe only four of them could be acquired per town. Sort of like how Wisp's scan only works once every day, no matter who scanned him in. I heard that all you had to do for Gracie was have it be your first visit and purchase of anything from there and she will give you one. But that wasn't the case for me. So I'll just try Mabel/Sable and hope for the best lol.

Gracie will give each character a mannequin when they buy something on the opening day of the emporium. I'm not sure if she does it otherwise.

I've had mannequins from Mabel and Label too. Just keep buying clothes and accessories.

Gracie will give your character a mannequin when you buy an item from her shop in the Emporium, definitely. You purchased the item in your town as well as made sure that you didn't have the mannequin in that character's storage somewhere or anything? I don't think anyone has ever reported otherwise.

Yeah I dug through their entire room and storage space. But I didn't see anything...going to try to get one with Mabel or Sable though.
