Manipulating Villagers

I buy things from their houses that I don't want there, and send them new things that would fit the theme. Before I tried this a lot of my villagers' houses looked awful, now they look okay.

I use to not care and give villagers all of the ugly bugs and fish they asked for. But I got tired of seeing their zoo-like interiors.

I used to put up overpriced fossils in Re-tail, and get them to buy them. c; But not anymore, since I started to feel bad, and their houses looked awful with those huge wastes of space...

I shouldn't really feel bad for the bells though, since they barely contribute to the PWPs

I don't do anything to them, they move in and out on their own, wear whatever they want, I don't really mind what they do.

When I do the wetsuit trick, I dig holes around certain villagers and don't let them out until they suggest the PWP I want. They look perfectly happy standing in the 1x1 space though.

I try to stop them from messing up their houses and give them decent furniture, but they just insist on replacing everything with junk that don't match, so I've given up on that. Guess I should have stocked Re-Tail with my own junk so they don't empty their freakin' houses there, but it's too late now, haha.

1. In able sisters, I put hats designs cuz they don't wear hats
2. I check out what wallpaper they come with and I'll give them all the furnitures that can match with their wallpapers
3. If they come with theme, I'll let them have everything in that theme eg. Rolf house is like a gym now xD
4. I chose what they'll wear. I'll bring a shirt with me if I want them to change. I'll reset until they actually change into the shirt I bring them to wear (if they are currently wearing super ugly shirt that I cannot stand especially XD)
5. I'll plant flowers to match their roofs/fence
6. Yes I too, buy all the ugly/un-matched furniture from their house so it'll be gone from there. I customized their furniture at Cyrus too whenever possible ie. Marina furniture was too pink so I customize to pink-white instead XD
7. Guilty on the house plot too. Everyone staying at south area of my town - except Marshal cuz he's special *v*
8. Only foreign/perfects fruits in Re-tail at x2 price since they wont display fruits in their house XD
9. I said ok to anything they requested me to do, but if they want ugly fishes/insects, I'll just give empty promises cuz I don't want them to display those in their house ;_;

I feels bad. But it's for their own good aaaaaaa sobs

Same here. Selling the fossils to villagers via re-tail was generally good money, but I got tired of seeing their houses filled with them. So now I just sell to Reese and put gems up at the flea market (and push villagers towards them so that they'll want to buy). I rarely get the gem rock, so my income has dropped quite a bit. But that's okay. I have enough bells for the time being, and there are quicker ways to make bells if I needed to.

I also try to manipulate them into wearing clothes I like. If someone is wearing something ugly, I keep sending them nice shirts until they decide to wear it. I wish you could suggest a pro design to villagers. I love it when someone wears a design I've made - though not so much if I had someone else in mind when I made it.

I was like that before but I got tired of seeing their houses so ugly so I decided to give back their original furniture and add on to the theme of it.

The only one I can't do is Gaston's cause I need another Cardboard set to give back to him.

I'm down to just the peppy and cranky requests for PWPs, so I have to block them off with holes.
