Making villagers move?

I have this villager where I want to put another house, but just about every other villager but Pashmina (the one living where I want to build the house) has pinged me asking me to move. I've told them to stay in the hopes it'll eventually make her ask instead. Does anyone have any idea how to make a specific villager move?

Nope, it's random. You can wait or TT.

i always thought you just had to wait for them to ping you, regardless of how often you talk to them or how good/bad you treat them. after a quick google search, if you're not opposed to time traveling, you could try this method. i haven't tried it myself, but it's worth a shot.
