I was finally able to buy one of my top 3 dreamies yesterday, and through a very airheaded action, I just discovered he has placed his house plot in the opposite corner from where literally EVERYONE ELSE lives, in between the town hall and cliff (there's only two spaces on either side of his house so surrounding bushes for stitches *cries*), and I didn't discover this until I loaded my main file. ; ; Obviously having a "perfect map" is out of the question now, but would anyone happen to have advice on how to work around this with landscaping? If you have any similar stories and would like to share how you worked around it, I would find it really helpful!

Oh yeah sorry! I meant to add it to the main post actually.

The red dot to the left of town hall is where his plot is.

Oh dear, now he's an outcast. :b A similar thing happened to me when I didn't plot reset Roscoe and he stuck himself in the worst spot imaginable (right in front of Re-Tail, smack in the middle of my only path). There was no real working around it for me, but it was Roscoe so I couldn't kick him out and just eventually got used to it. Perhaps you'll get used to this placement as well. ^^
Surround him with flowers instead of bushes. xp

Yeah that's actually exactly why it bothers me! I would have even preferred he move onto an inconvenient spot, like where I want to build a park, cause even something like that can be worked around. The only thing I could think of was to create some sort of little sitting/garden area between his house/the town hall and the river so it didn't seem like he's living completely out of the way, like for visitors (if that makes sense??).

Sorry to hear that he placed his house in a bad spot!
I like the idea of creating a park or something connecting his house to the others. As long as the area around his house is developed and there's a path or something linking him to the others, it's workable.

Yes yes , there is a way out ^^ I was plot resetting for Francine,it was a sunny saturday and i accidentally hitted the worst button EVER.I pressed my mayor's option.I didn't even loaded it but when i tried it was always in the same spot, where i was going to build a park, long story short,I changed totally the placement of many things in my town but i'm totally happy with the result ^u^

It's not too bad, sure the villager houses are spread out and everything, but he's not in a space that actually blocks out anything! He can be Isabelle's little helper c: Coincidentally, I forgot to plot reset for Stitches in my town as well, and he also landed exactly to the left of my town hall, except by a slightly larger margin (maybe 4-5 spaces?).

I probably can't suggest much, but I am sure you'll be able to work with his placement and get used to it. Sometimes it's nice to have something random like that, Stitches is just too hardcore to take notice of your planning ;)

I think it would be great to consider the land from his house and the town hall to the river as "his" and do a big landscaping job on it. Maybe some water paths and bamboo, or I've also considered trying to build a bit of a formal garden with bushes, the topiary pwps, and flowers (google "formal garden" to get an idea).

Thanks for all the encouragement and advice everyone!! Thanks dahlialia! I have decided to develop the area in front as a garden :) Now I'm just trying to figure out the right PWPs to place there!

Wolfgang placed his house in the very corner of my map. He wasn't alone before, but now he is. I put some paths, bamboo, and blue, yellow, and red pansies around there, and I like it a lot. It just depends what you do, I guess. c:

If he is one of your dreamies, I say that you should just make the best of it, and try to make his isolated spot special.

The other option is to move him out, cycle 16, adopt him again and plot reset next time, but that might be a little excessive.

Personally, I think that placement makes him seem unique or special.
