Making designs into shirts?

Is it possible to make a design into a shirt, not by pro but what I mean is like.. here take this example.

Example A: I go to Able Sisters and buy a mario shirt. In my inventory, the Mari shirt appears as an item. I wanna make my designs into an item. They take too much space in my design inventory because I'm making a road pathway right now

That was my pics you are referring to here. I just placed the design in the room as clothing, and it puts it out on display like at the Able's shop. It's still a design, though, and when you pick that up and put it back into your pocket, there's nothing in your pocket... just the design on your designs page.
