Yeah. Even just this one state legalizing it is a step forward, that does prove more people are willing to let everyone be who they are.hollisterx2 said:Yeah that is true I agree. I'm sure over time it'll change. Who knows? Maybe if the United States does not model after each other, maybe it'll take a couple of other countries in the world for us to finally accept it, you know?Trikki said:Yeah, the chances are unpredictable whether legalizing it country-wide would cause more good or bad in the future. No more kids need to grow up having to hide who they really are, adults too.hollisterx2 said:Ooh it is tough when your parents don't accept it. My mom acts like she doesn't know that I'm gay so indeed its been tough for both of us.Trikki said:I live in a redneck state, a lot of the people here are beyond education.hollisterx2 said:Quoting limited to 5 levels deep
I'm openly bisexual, and willing to deal with the people who disagree with it.
My parents are mainly the biggest problem, which is the worst part for most people, when someones parents cannot accept it.
So hopefully more states can legalize gay marriage, and hopefully open more eyes.
I agree with more states legalizing gay marriage, but I just hope it opens more eyes than causing more controversy in the long run. You know? =o
The fact it's outlawed in states is still not right. People living in those states can't be bonded together where they grew up if it's illegal, and taking that happiness away from them is criminal.
I'm sure things will get better in the future. =P
