mailing furnitutr: confusion

ok so

what would be the best way to get furniture in a villagers house?

mailing it all at once,
once a day,
or just giveing it to them whenever they ask?

I would do it once a day, if you're going to mail. I don't think they'll replace more than one of their existing items at a time.

For mailing, I found that they won't replace a item if it's too similar--my Maple had a customized classic bed that looked terrible in her house. I sent her an uncustomized one to replace it. Twice. She wouldn't do it. Then I sent her a regal bed, which worked. And then I was finally able to get her to use the regular classic bed.

Giving them furniture when they ask is the fastest and most sure way to get them to display/use the item.
