It came up at a family dinner while a couple of us were halfway through a margarita. Apparently the other side of the family doesn't approve of my brother putting ketchup on Kraft Mac and Cheese. He didn't even mention the cut up hot dogs we used to have mixed in with it.

Of course I have seen relatively fancier Mac and Cheese dishes, sometimes made with shell pasta, and topped with breadcrumbs. I wouldn't turn that down, but I don't see it often. It looks like that kind has it's own drama as well.

How do you like it?

It’s sort of funny that I’m autistic and I never was crazy for Mac and cheese. Now don’t get me wrong, I DO enjoy eating it but I never get a real craving for it. I like the type that has bacon baked into it and I do like the food truck styles that add meat to the dish.

I love mac n cheese so much. I would never want ketchup on it though

As for my favorite kind of mac n cheese, i dont know... Kraft mac n cheese is so classic, but I also love a fancy restaurant lobster mac n cheese. A homemade mac n cheese bake is great too. Bonus points if instead of macaroni its bowtie or wheel shaped pasta 🤤

My sister will make Mac and cheese sometimes with cottage cheese. I think it's low-key disgusting tbh but whatever lol. Just the idea of hot cottage cheese turns my stomach. I also hate ketchup or hot dogs in Mac and cheese too but I'm not a fan of those by themselves either. My favorite version of Mac and cheese is Shell noodles with either homemade cheddar cheese sauce or velveeta packaged shells and cheese. I don't really like Kraft personally. I mostly like a plain old Mac and cheese but if I was going to add something, bacon and breadcrumbs would be my pick. Now I want Mac and cheese 😋

I only like the recipe my mum used, which I thankfully have a copy of. It uses:

  • Macaroni
  • Cheddar
  • Mozarella
  • Parmesan
  • Milk
  • Sriracha sauce

All thrown into the pressure cooker and set to cook for four minutes. Perfection.

I like mac and cheese with just the cheese on it, usually. Every now and then I'll put bacon, ranch, and chicken on it.
