If you may please enter me, that would be simply wonderful. o:
I guess the tale of me and Jules goes back to when I started to shape up my town in my first run through. With this game, and although I don't want to boast or seem impudent, but I'm naturally kind-hearted and would give anything I have to people if I'm able (and even if I'm not, I usually find myself still dropping tips and overpaying and insisting that I leave gifts behind for people). So, naturally, when someone needs help with a villager, I'd be straight on the ready.
Star, I'll put her down as, helped me obtain Chrissy. At the time, it was great. I was only one slot away from perfecting my village. I was working side-by-side with an agency of sorts, people scouting dreamies and helping less fortunate people obtain them. Miraculously enough, we found someone that was willing to sell me Julian. "If my other bid doesn't fall through", he said, "Then I'll give him to you!". I was estatic, beyond overjoyed that I'd be able to finally invite the magical pony into my home.
Prior to all of this, Star had messaged me asking if I could hold Rosie for her since she accidentally TT'd her out. I told her no problem, and I asked her if Rosie was still in boxes. She said yes. So I go over to her town... But there's no Rosie. I ask her what happened to her, and she told me that "ohhh she might've moved then". I was a bit frustrated since it was a small waste of time, but whatever, no big deal. I go back to my town, and a day later the deal for Julian plays out. I offer all of the sets I could + 10 Mil in Bells, and the person from the agency offers a Weeding set, and the Dealer gives me the go-ahead to pick him up.
I go to Julian's house, but as much as I converse with him, he doesn't want to move. But, I have nine slots. Why would he not want to move? I ask for a small break and head back to my town.
I found a plot for a house.
I checked the plot.
It was Monique.
How in the world could I have picked up Monique? From who could I have picked up Monique from?? It didn't make any sense, the only person that visited my town recently was Star, but that was prior to me checking if she had Rosie. There was no way that Monique would've came to my town. I even asked Star outright if anyone moved out before I went over, and she told me that Rosie was the only one in boxes.
So I go back to the Dealer and explain to him the situation and he tells me that "Oh no, it's alright, I'll hold onto Julian for you, you can get Monique out". Only, this turns out to be a complete lie. The Dealer went behind my back and not only kept all of my payment, but he made another topic saying that "the deal for Julian fell through, so now he was looking for someone else to take him". He effectively stole all that I was able to offer, didn't keep to his word, and didn't even offer to give me back what little I had sacrificed. On top of that, Monique did turn out to be from Star. Star lied to me.
In the end, Dealer found someone to sell Julian to, and he messaged me saying "Sorry, but I found someone else! =( Good luck finding Julian!!". I was dead close to resetting my game, to be honest. It just wasn't fair.
This happened about.. Half a year ago, I want to say. It was on GameFAQs and I felt like such a loser. I spent two weeks trying to TT Monique out without losing everyone else. I was downright heartbroken. But, you know, life moves on. In the end, I did reset my town (along with my sister; we both share April 4th as our clean slate) and now I'm starting all over again. I only have little Bell to my name, but I still retained the heart that I had when I first started playing. And I'm really, really happy to see that others have that same kindness in them too.
I hope that whoever you may pick, that they'll love and take care of Jules. He seems to be a really great pony, and even after that whole mess, I'd still love to have him in my town. He's tall, and he's my favorite shade of blue, and he's just this embodiment of magic and wishes that I'd love to have in my small town of Vensca. I love how he has Stale Cupcakes playing in his house, and when I visited someone who had him already packed in, his house was serene, and gentle.. I felt at peace. And I'd love if I could have that little taste of magic with me. uwu;
