Luigi's Mansion - Final Boss Trouble [Spoilers]

I have been working on completing Luigi's Mansion recently due to only needing to beat the final boss. Everything else in the game is 100% completed and I keep running into the same problem every playthrough. Please tell me what I am doing wrong in a comment down below. To show what I do wrong, here is a video showing exactly how I battle him:

ok i don't remember for sure but either ur so suppose to suck that ball up and aim and shoot it at its head or wait till he lowers his head with a fire attack and launch it. Or maybe during that inhale attack of his. but u could always look it up ya know?

I was actually doing all that, as seen in the video.

If I had to give you advice, maybe try to get him to throw those spiked balls in an open area, instead of that tight corner like you did in your playthrough. Another thing is (iirc) when he charges at you, he stops right in front of you to allow him time to hunch over and burn/inhale you rather than ramming into you, when that happens, you could try cutting him off enough so that the spiked balls aren't within radius of his fire breath.

I recall him being a tough boss, so it probably won't be a cake walk. Just gotta keep at it.

If your problem is getting King Boo, then you need to wait just a second longer before you go to suck him up.

As you're going to him Bowser's head will fire an ice ball at you. To avoid that, wait for Bowser to shoot that first one then start to suck up King Boo. You could also try dodging it, but I find it a lot easier to wait.
If you can do it, congrats. I've managed to get 100% four times now, and have played the game over.. uh. I think I finished my.. seventh play through of it last October.

Thanks for the advice guys! I'll try doing that next time, I guess I was a little too anxious to get the fight over with that I didn't do any of that nor have I done that before with my previous encounters with this fight. I'll definitely try doing both of you guy's advice on my next time trying to defeat him!
