Ok, currently I am trying to TT out Astrid and Clay, also this is my very first time trying this so I want to know a few thing rather than make a mistake and lost any of my other villagers >< I want to know what people mean by "I lost [villager] in TT accident". How is this happen? Is it that Isabelle did not mention someone moving out and the villagers just move out unknown? Or had they not know the villager is moving out until they TT to the day and get notice from Isabelle, but nothing can do to stop that villager from leaving?

I not TT out because I want them out faster, is because some really nice person holding another villager from me so I not sure when this 2 will move, so I figure out the fastest way, and really hard to make them move out. Another side I am also worry about losing others as well. This is why I try asking what I don't understand about TT so I don't make the mistake (hopefully).

i think it's mostly referring to, yeah, the villager doesn't ping you to say they're moving so you keep TTing forward thinking you're safe and then find out that they're in boxes....... if you TT day-by-day and talk to at least a few villagers 5-10 times, you should be alright!! sometimes, villagers will mention "[NAME] is planning on moving! we got to stop them!" if no one notifies you of moving. good luck!

O.O i see... then there's no way to make them stay anymore? Because this ALMOST happen and kinda freak me out! I TT and keep talking to them but grrr...kinda of annoying! Some of them keep running off to Museum and somewhere I can't find them, luckily I talked to them enough and find out Roald thinking about moving! Worst is, he didn't even ping no matter how I spam talk to Roald and end up I save and quit and TT to next day and fortunately, he pinged and I stop him (pheww). I am worry this will happen again and I not clear about it so I figure out is better I ask about now =x

I feel the pain of people doing cycling thread and those who said they accidently TT their villagers to box...is kinda hard feeling here. I understand it clearly now.

awwww!! in that roald scenario you just described, you can just save and quit then load up on the same day because it'll reset all the villagers' positions! so if a villager you want is in the museum or able sisters, just quit the game and load it up again and they could be wandering around instead; just to minimise the risk!

The game typically will put the mover out and about so they can ping you, at least when it first decides who will try to move. By the way, spamming Roald to get him to tell you will not work. He will only mention it when he initiates the conversation. If you were to come up behind him and start the conversation, that would end his ability to ping you right then and that's one way to miss it.

If you do it day by day, talk to EVERYONE, make sure you catch EVERYONE outside to see who pings, you should be fine.
However, it is possible to lose someone if you use the TT'ing 2 days forward and 1 day back method and aren't careful enough because the person moving could be boxed up the next day (if they're already in boxes, you can't do anything).

Yeppp I saw this and I carefully TT day by day going around find them! And ignore the 2 I wish they move out. So far no news from either of them but I will keep trying!!

Ok!! Now I knew it! Yea I had all the hard time running and finding them everywhr and sometimes I really not sure which corner of the town they are! XD thank you everyone this is a really great tips sharing by all of you! Thank you so much! I will be careful in TT-ing.

One more thing, I had villagers whom I talked to told me about them moving out or I heard about it from other villagers, but there is no news from the two that I had ignored, will that affect them not ping me about moving? My friendship with both Clay and Astrid wasn't low, FYI. I just not sure if I need to talk to all of them or just ignore the one I want them to be out.

In my experience, ignoring them actually makes them stick around longer.
It's the ones I talk to the most/have highest friendship with that ask to move the MOST.
After I started talking to the ones I wanted gone more and being nice to them by sending letters with gifts, doing trades and chores, they would ping to move.

Okie^^ My friendship with both Clay and Astrid(I want them out) wasn't low and in fact Clay came in my house uninvited~ Guess now I shall talk to everyone while TT-ing to get the chance ^^ No choice but to TT *sigh* 2 last dreamies waiting to be adopt atm >< not sure if it a good news or not lolx~
