Lost item confusion. help!

I found a lost item at the best time possible (midnight). I have been trying to find the owner and there has been no luck. I know who it is (Agnes), its just that I cannot find her with the megaphone or at club lol, the Cafe and around my town. When I check Agnes door, it says "I'm out for a bit! If you need me for anything, i'll see you later.". Is this a glitch? Am I missing something? Or is there some type of trick to this that I don't know about? Please help!

Did you check the beach or inside the shops? Museum maybe?

All of the shops are closed and I checked the beach. Haven't tried the museum. I will try it now

Ah she was deep inside of the fish exhibit. Thank you for the help!

EDIT: And on an even more depressing note, its not her lost item.
