Lost Celeste recipe over WIFI and can't get it back

A while back I got a star wall recipe from Celeste when I visited someone and then someone else on the island lost connection and it crashed. I then went back to my own island and found that I completely lost the recipe and thought I could just go and grab it again but she wouldn't give me another one when I went back to that person's island. I'm aware that Celeste only gives one recipe per visit but since it apparently didn't save when I got my recipe, I thought maybe it also didn't save when I went and talked to her which I guess wasn't the case. The game didn't recognize that I didn't have the recipe and I never was able to get that recipe back. Celeste doesn't give duplicate recipes either so I really feel out of luck. Is there maybe a possibility I'll get it back or do I have to just buy the recipe off of someone?

This sort of thing happens, and it reverts you to the save you entered with (hence why it hard saves before you visit), Celeste SHOULD give you the DIY again, may just take more time since she won't give it to you the next time, she may give a different one.

You should be fine.

Thanks. It's just frustrating because it was the one DIY i really wanted at the time and I was so excited to get it but like most things in my life it was taken from me LOL. I guess I just have to keep waiting it out

I’m so sorry. The space wall is currently my bedroom wall and it’s pretty amazing. Especially with stale cupcakes playing. I don’t think I have enough star pieces but if I do I’ll craft one for you.

I'm pretty sure the game checks to see which Celeste recipes you have learned before deciding with recipe to give you or star fragments if you learned them all. I gotten duplicate recipes from Celeste because I didn't learn them right away
