I'm expanding my house, and one thing that's always bothered me is that when you get the full expansion, you lose all your windows in the main room. I hate that, it feels claustrophobic. Plus the light is unnatural since it all comes from the light switches or lamps. Does anybody else feel this way?

Yeah I thought about it too. I wish they had a window type furniture that you can hang on the wall like other wall mounted furniture.

yes! I feel the same way. Windows just make the home look more natural like a real home.

Yeah! I like how the lighting changes throughout the day, and the way the sun pours in in the morning. Plus I'm a real life claustrophobe and I abhor rooms without windows as they make me panic, so having my main room windowless is not appealing for me at all.

It's kind of strange without all of the windows and it certainly makes designing the room properly a lot harder. You can't just put everything next to the walls. However, I think it allows for some cool room design and all of the other rooms have windows, except for the basement. But yeah, I do miss having windows in the main room.

Yeah, but an alternative is to add window paintings and lighting around the area to give the illusion you still have windows.

Yes I don`t like that the main room has no windows, it feels like a cave, and the main room is the room you spend the most time in.
I?d like to see the daylight and the natural light adds to the atmosphere. Who would want to live in room with no windows?

you guys do know that the only place that could reasonably have windows by the end is the south wall, right?

You're absolutely right, the windows are really great in this game. But yeah, it would be hard to find a suitable place for them.

not really, but I was bothered by the centered doors on each side, it makes furnishing the room harder than it should be, at least for me it does >:c

I personally like the fact that theres no windows. Tinted lamps make it easier to tie a room together with a certain color, It looks pretty cool.

I also like the fact that there's no windows because I find that the huge gaping hallways take enough wall space from the room already ):< I wish there was a way to have one hallway in the back with numerous rooms connected to it instead of one on all sides, but whatever. A good alternative would be maybe to have the door openings lower down and try to have windows on top of the door frames in future games?

No light in the room doesn't bug me during the night. I found it's still to bright late at night in the upstairs room with all the lights off. Wish the game added curtains or shades.

I really like the windows too... It's for that reason that my mayor's house doesn't have extra rooms to the east or west.

Wow, hearing that makes me wanna hold off on a full expansion :x i hate artificial life enough in real life (maybe hate is too strong, but I mean I just try to not use it if it's not night time). Way prefer natural light coming in from windows, in real life and my ACNL house

eh, i like windows in the main room too, but thts conflicting for me since i want a full house..

so i just make another character w/ a partially expanded house ^.^ no west/east rooms.

Lol I've never even noticed. But now that you mentioned it I guess it is weird. At least there's window qrs.

I've never noticed that before until you pointed it out, and I totally agree.
I think once you've added the side rooms they should move the windows to the back of the main room on either side of the door to the back, it would look a lot brighter that way, I always struggle with what to put on the walls at the back so this would solve that issue.
I've seen some great window QR codes here: on Tumblr which I'm probably going to use myself :)
