Losing the will to live..... (Island hopping)

I’m now on NMT number 290 and still no sign of Raymond or Judy.. how long do I carry on until I cave and buy them from someone else {I’ve taken breaks etc but feel like I just want it over with.. won’t be Island hopping for a longtime after this LOL}

edit: I’ve seen Zucker 8 times and other villagers up to 6 times! Probably at least 70 tickets have been duplicates

Welcome to RNG! I quite like island hopping, but it can be exhausting. If you aren't opposed to TT, I'm pretty sure you can keep it on the current day and try again after a break if you need to.

Yeah I’m on day 2 lol been doing it since yesterday morning! I’ve taken several breaks feel like I’m too far in now to give up!!

Thankyou! I’m gonna keep going for an hour then take another break. I got to the point where I stopped farming materials lol. Maybe a break and I’ll go back to doing that

I hope you're able to find them soon! I tend to have bad luck with even finding cat villagers which is usually what I'm looking for. I'm glad I dont time travel so it puts a lot of time in between when I island hop, I couldnt imagine doing it all the time when I need to use 100+ tickets to get a villager I want. Good luck finding Raymond or Judy!

I'd take any of these:

Muffy
Dom
Sherb
Lucky
Ankha
Ketchup

There does seem to be a lot of duplicates. I've seen Diana 3 times, and a few other randoms.

I’ve seen Muffy, Lucky, Ankha and ketchup! I have Dom and sherb on my island aha! Dom took me 55 tickets so good luck I hope you find one of them!!

The problem is they’re harder to find if you’re looking for them. When I was hunting Reneigh I had to stop because Judy randomly popped up. Tell the universe you’re looking for Rodney. Then maybe Raymond or Judy will pop up.

I know the pain, and I even have quite a long list of villagers (probably at least 50) I want, but even so I had to spend like over 50 tickets to get even one of these! Except last time, on my 5th ticket I found Kabuki, but at this point I almost don't want to take villagers I like with only spending so few tickets because, uh, I might get a better one? (Won't happen, and if I had found him on my 90th ticket I would have been super happy). It's just a very not fun process, mostly since you have so little time to do it! I wish you could island hop even if you don't have an empty plot, or that they remained open for longer...

Yeah I used to have an extensive list buuut I wanted to give the newbies a try before I made a list of ‘who’ I want! It feels like all my hard work is wasted lol

I’m going to once I’ve found one. I have no snooty and no smug on my island so I wanted to narrow it down to the last one in order to do the campsite method!

Island-hopping can be so exhausting. I used the campsite method to get Raymond. Luckier people have gotten him in hours but I spent 3 days doing it.

I did way WAY less trips than you did and wasn't even looking for a specific villager - just had a list of snooties and jocks I wanted.
Didn't come across a single one from my list and was really burned out by the end of it.
In the end I settled for Tasha, which I'm actually glad I did because she really grew on me.
I guess what I'm saying is sometimes a villager you may not have really wanted, could end up being THE one.
Good luck on the hunt though.
