so i know everyone seemed to be having problems yesterday with getting pings and having sick villagers that weren't acting sick -- well, i turn on my game today and isabelle notifies me that mira is moving. me AND my boyfriend played a ton yesterday, i even remember giving her a gift from lobo, and she didn't ping the entire time. i play every day, even if it's just for ten or fifteen minutes, and always make a point of talking to everyone and checking for pings. nothing.

i honestly hate shamrock day now. i haven't lost a dreamie in years and i'm so good about keeping track of pings and when someone last asked to move. i also hate most of the uchis, and one of the few other ones i like is in my 16 villager cycle, so finding a replacement for her is gonna suck and is definitely going to end up being disappointing. not to mention the fact that my town is entirely landscaped, so i'm going to have to plot reset the new villager into mira's exact spot which is going to be a nightmare.

the last time i lost someone it was because i was being careless, but this time it's just terrible luck that her last day was on a day that no one could ping. i'm so sad lol. she's wearing the cutest shirt, too. anybody else lose a dreamie bc of this or just in general recently? :c​

i could do that, but i'd have to do the 16 villager cycle and since all my other villagers are dreamies, it'd probably take forever. i'm just gonna somehow have to find another uchi i like and hope she grows on me :<​

Aww, I'm sorry That really sucks! Stupid holidays. I lost Rodeo because no one would ping me on Halloween. I'd heard rumors that he was moving the day before Halloween, but he didn't ping me then. I meant to go back on later that day to try for his ping, but I forgot. The next day, Halloween, no one pinged. The next morning Isabelle told me he was leaving. Twas a sad, sad day for me

I've actually never lost a dreamie before, but that's because I almost always made a new town before one could ask to leave. However, since I'm planning to keep my current town, it's a scary thought for me. I wish there was a way you could ask villagers in boxes to stay.

I've gotten rumors about someone moving and on a normal/non-holiday day, they won't ping me. Finally, after I've pushed them around a bit and stood DIRECTLY in front of them (even if they were looking at me the whole time), eventually they'll ping.
No one should have to do that to get a moving ping, though...

After I had Mira, I needed another uchi. I've had Pashmina, who tbh I really really loved but she was in a bad spot (this was when I first started playing and didn't know about plot resetting). If I recall, you're looking for her right? Maybe she could be your uchi replacement c:

A few other good ones... Cherry, I have her now. I like her so far. Phoebe, I had her for a short time before I reset my first town, liked her as well.

& a tip for when you have to plot reset & already have landscaping done... just build benches (or fountains, if theres space) everywhere. I ended up doing this until I couldn't build any more PWP's and shortened my plot resetting time from a few DAYS to an hour, tops.

I fortunately have not experienced a dreamy villager move out unexpectedly, probably because I am a Mayor who is always on top of everything in the town. But, it happens sometimes to the best of us, it's just poor luck and I apologize for your loss. You don't need another Uchi based villager though unless you don't have all of the Public Works Projects suggestible by Uchi villagers. Take a look at the list and think hard about a villager who can take her place, think of this new villager as a breath of fresh air.

i have three non-cycling towns (one isn't even set up though, i've been map resetting on and off for a month and have yet to find a decent one) and my plan was to put pashmina in my second town, dewberry, after lots of deliberation on who my uchi should be for that town. it was initially muffy, but i ended up hating where she plotted and decided to get rid of her. then i was stuck between either phoebe (who i've had before as well and did like) or pashmina, and i went with pashmina.

unfortunately tho, phoebe is in my sixteen villager cycle for kinsale (the town i just lost mira in) so she's already out. so right now i'm considering either a) putting pashmina in kinsale instead, and getting phoebe for dewberry, or b) still putting pashmina in dewberry, and getting muffy for kinsale. i'm just torn on what to do because i'm not sure who would look best/fit better with all my other villagers in kinsale. (if anyone wants to visit my DA and tell me who you think would be best, pls do x.x)​

i'm also pretty on top of everything, which is why this came as such a surprise D: i like to keep one of each villager personality in town so the dialogue doesn't get stale as fast, and i do need more uchi pwp's, otherwise i might've just replaced her with someone else altogether. but i'm definitely trying to think of a new uchi as being a bretath of fresh air, which is keeping me a little optimistic about all of this ;-;​

Would you consider having another personality type? I know you said you dislike having multiples of the same personality but I think it could work for your case (unless you haven't gotten all the Uchi PWPs). I personally think it'd be too painful and too soon to have a replacement of the same personality after losing a dreamie. ;^; I'd give it some time before deciding on a replacement.

I hope your Mira went to a good home either way! Maybe visiting her could help a bit? ;v;

if i wasn't so ocd about having one of each personality, i'd grab another type, but i also love the uchi personality itself and i think it'd feel weird without one. plus i do need more of their pwp's, and the best ones too xP i grabbed muffy from one of my other towns because i've got multiple ds's in my house, and i'm paranoid my tenth spot will get filled by a voided villager from another of my towns, otherwise i would've given it more time! and thank you! <3​

welp as i was trying to make this decision, i walk onto main street and guess who i see? fcking pashmina. so apparently she's in my cycle as well, which crosses both her AND phoebe out -_- i don't even remember having either of them. luckily i had muffy in my one cycling town, so i grabbed her and i'm plot resetting her now, but she's of course refusing to plot anywhere except directly next to lolly's house, even though i put a thousand pwp's down to prevent her from plotting somewhere terrible. except the one place she wants to plot most. UGH

it's just so odd, because i've had villagers ping on other holidays, just not shamrock day i guess. hopefully in the next game there's a way to have more control over this :c​

i did consider shari, as my sister has her and really likes her. she'll probably be my next choice if muffy doesn't work out!​

Aww I'm so sorry that you lost a villager, but think about this:it wasn't because you were careless or anything like that, it was just an unfortunate event that you could have not avoided. Maybe it was just a sign that you need to give a chance to a new wonderful uchi that will become your new favorite!(maybe!) I can strongly suggest you Muffy. I've had her for a month and she is so funny and cute! She always make me smile with her absurd dialogues! (Today she asked me to catch a butterfly for her so that she could study it and learn aerial combat.. Lol) her face and expressions are hilarious!
