Hey guys so I made a new town the other day and I think I really hit the jackpot with this map. I was preparing myself for the long haul of resetting dozens if not hundreds of times trying to get the right map layout, but then I saw this and I thought it was too good to pass up. Please let me know what you guys think, do you like it?

Pros:
-Town plaza in the middle of town
-Town hall close to town plaza
-Retail very close to train station to make it super convenient for selling turnips, perfect fruit etc.
-Only 1 pond
-Southern facing waterfall (where you can actually see it *O*)
-A nice peninsula space where I can have my house and land next to it to myself and yet I can build a bridge to the left and be able to access other parts of the map easily

Cons:
-Orange as native fruit (perfect fruit that look like pears with tumors on them FTL)
-I don't know for sure but it seems to me like I have less land to work with than other maps. That could also be a good thing as well but i'm not sure how I feel about it at the moment.
-Not a lot of land mass might mean future problems with placing PWP.
-Bottom part of the map is a lot thinner so I feel kind of limited on what I can layout down there.
- You have to turn right and go down the path to get to the beach which is slightly annoying but nothing major
-Rock placement around town plaza isn't ideal in spots

This is a PERFECT town map. I suggest you keep it! And the placements are great too! + town fruit <33333

woo you lucky duck!

I think it's great! I'd place all the villager homes in the little island on the bottom! It'd be really cute!

I have a pretty similar map; the only thing that bothers me is the narrow(ish) piece of land on the right leading up to your house.

It is a thinner piece of land which I'm having issues developing so I'm kind of just leaving it as an orchard area >_>

It looks better than any town layout I've seen maybe you could do PWP on the top and houses on the bottom

That is the best event plaza placement i've ever seen, you're very very verrrytryweurtawioh lucky.

Wow thank you guys for such positive feedback I'm glad you all like it ^.^

Now I know for sure this one is a keeper :P I'm so glad I only had to spend like 15 minutes resetting haha XD

My plan is for the center of town (which is why I wanted the town plaza in the middle) to be where everything happens so I plan on putting most PWP there. The cafe, police station, even alternate's houses and then turn them into something else like a move theatre or restaurant or something I'm not sure yet :)

I love it! :D
The only thing I don't like is that skinny piece of land that the river makes against the train tracks (area above your house). You can't really put much there :c
But overall it's great! I think it'd be cute if you lined the villager houses up along that southern strip of land facing the shore.

Yea I hadn't even thought of that but good point. Not really sure what i'm going to do with that to be honest.

Hmm you're the second or third person who has suggested that :P I'm not sure yet I kinda want a neighborhood feel to the house placements but i'm not sure if I want all the houses in the same general area or not. I think it would be cool to have like a bench or something in each little neighborhood :D

yea it's an awkward space not sure what to do with it. That was my first thought too either an orchard or some kind of garden area.

I personally like private islands.. And I don't like the top right of your town tbh because there's not much space up there. Other than that I love that you only have 1 pond. Lucky!

I'm having a hard time deciding where I should put all the PWP's and alternates houses around the event plaza....anyone have any tips? :3 The only thing I'm thinking right now is that I want the police station to the right of the town hall.

huh

I've never noticed....

anyone got a pic of theirs?

Here you go. I couldn't get the whole waterfall because of the weird angles but it's good enough :3

i love the beach, you could put a whole bunch of flowers on it! the only thing that will be annoying will be the narrow strips of land, the path placement could be hard and would be very troublesome if a villager moved in the middle. however you only have one pond so you have more space on the top left area, which should give you enough to do what you want. i would recommend looking for something better that doesn't have a narrow strip of land.

I think this is a really cute map and when I was resetting I came across a similar river style a lot, but I didn't keep it because I had no clue where to put my alt characters houses. Other than that it's epic and I think you ought to keep the houses spread out or areas of your town will feel lonely.

Well I'm transferring all my dreamies over from my old town and I'll be plot resetting for them so that won't be an issue. I really want all my villagers to be in the same area tho (specifically the bottom stretch of land that overlooks the beach) so I can see them all at once and they can have more interactions with each other :)

Although your right that does leave a problem with what to do with the rest of the land. Oh well that's a problem worth having :P
