I really need a nice conditioner that will make my hair really soft and not knotty.. I haven't been able to find a good one no matter what I do. I'm a brunette with thick hair it's wavy when it's conditioned well but it's mainly just straight. as I get older it's starting to get frizzier and dry... I'm thinking about cutting shampoo all together.. need help!!

I don’t have any advice, but I definitely understand how you feel. I have short hair now, but I used to have long hair, and I hated it. It was super thick, curly and hard to manage. I honestly hated it. I wish I had straight hair, but I don’t think it’s worth the work, and I don’t think I’d be able to pull off long hair either. Plus, it’s easier to dye when it’s short.

I understand your pain. I hope you find hair products that work for you. 😕

I don't if you also got like me, thick and oily, but if such may I suggest cutting down on conditioner? I just find out using it too much makes it greasy/frizzy and stuff so I mainly use just shampoo (using some organic stuff from Urtekram, don't know if that brand is available in your country?). And for example I can't use oil-based cause that definitely makes things worse.

I'd definitely try either natural hair masks (like, just whipping egg and avocado or whatever) or invest in a good brand that does 'chemical' ones and use that. Sadly most brands that I used shut down or they just don't sell them here anymore so I'm also trying to find stuff aha. I also suggest going to a dedicated department store/shop that carries a lot of hair products and ask as well. Good luck! :)

I understand your frustrations. Right now I'm using Paul Mitchell super strong conditioner and it seems to do ok. I also really like the Redken all soft conditioner. I would reccomened going to the manufacturer sites of these shampoos/condiitoners and find out where you can buy from an authorized retailer. I get mine from Ulta. I've read stories of Walmart/Target/Amazon selling watered down products or expired products which can definitely effect the quality of it. I hope everything works out for you and you get some good advice!

I recommend Shea Moisture conditioners! The coconut hibiscus one leaves your hair feeling silky as soon as you wash it off. It also doesn't contain any harmful ingredients that will damage your hair. Another recommendation I have is the Paul Mitchell Leave In Conditioner (Original). These should help with frizz, but if you want some extra help, you can try using a hair serum/oil after showering (I like the OGX coconut miracle hair oil). Sorry if these don't help, just thought I'd share some of my reccs ;v; Good luck!

I really like Hempz Shampoo and conditioner. I've been using it for like 5 years. Not badly priced and pretty decent ingredients. Or you can use Lush products as well if you want to spend a little bit more on hair products. I only wash my hair like every 3-4 days. I've got hair down to my waist. :ROFLMAO:

I have a completely different hair type so I unfortunately don't have any direct advice, sorry!

Have you tried a leave-in serum? I use one after I shower when my hair is still damp and it helps keep my hair soft. I use the one by Biosilk.
