Looking for Dream Addresses to visit

thank you sooooo much for the review!! it was super helpful!
i have been thinking about adding more bamboo in my town along with maybe more bushes so yeah thanks for the feedback on that!
also as for the "club lol" room in my character Stella's house it's just supposed to be a random dance room lol, and i put the coelacanth there because i had no other spot for it :P
glad to hear the things that you liked about my town, i worked really hard on it and it means a lot to me! :D

Town of Appleton:

The landscaping job that you've done on your town totally knocked my socks off! The trees, bushes, and bamboo were so meticulously planted and your wide variety of flowers and hybrids were very pleasing to the eye. There was a suggestion of autumn about your town, perhaps due to the rich, earthy colors of your brick paths. I absolutely loved the color scheme, and the borders really did make your paths look very sharp. The zen style train station and town hall remodels were a great choice for your town, and your PWPs were very well chosen. They certainly ran the gamut, but you still managed to make them all feel harmonious with the overall feel of your town. I really liked the way that the alternating apple and peach trees looked near your flower arch with the corresponding pinks and reds, and he tiles that resembled rows of crops near your scarecrow were a terrific touch. Your villagers were all also exceptionally adorable!

I noticed that there was an area in the upper right hand corner of your map where there were a handful of stumps, one of which had a special design. I'd definitely like to see more stumps with those cool designs! There were a few very small and isolated regions where there weren't any paths yet -- near Lyman's house, and in that same region near the stumps where Winnie and Skye live -- but besides those very minor things your town is looking about as close to perfect as can be!

Mira's house: The mush room in the front and the cabin room to the left definitely corresponded with the outdoor ambiance. Both featured those same autumn colors that really drew me into your town in the first place. There were lots of whimsical touches in your mermaid room, like the Manneken Pis improperly relieving himself by the golden toilet! The throne customized in purple was a cool little addition as well. Very interesting how you merged the sloppy items with the 7-11 set -- the department of health would go berserk! I loved the clothing fabric that you used to customize various sloppy items, and I recognized it as one of the designs Wendell offered to let me take home. I'd love to scoop up that design for my own customization uses! I loved the way that you coordinated yellows and golds in your room upstairs, and the weeding day items looked great with your choice of wallpaper and floor. The music-room/library in the basement was quite unique, and once again the use of brown and gold colors tied in with the general color palette of your town.

Misa's house: Your custom designs came into play in the front room with great results! The signs hung up on the wall with prices listed were such a neat idea as well! The rest of the house is clearly still in progress, so you'll have to let me know when you next update so I can see what you decide to do with the rest of the place!

Appleton is a beautiful and inspiring place to visit -- I'm very glad to have had the chance to experience it!

Town of CroiRojo (at long last, CrimsonFireWolf!):

True to the name of your town, your town was a vision in bold, regal red. I was utterly amazed at the artistry and craftsmanship of your QR tile designs, and the fact that they were all created by you (as Wendell showed me) made them even more special. I really loved the way that you created heart designs with your tiles in the upper part of your plaza and by your train station (I never took Spanish in school, but I know just enough to recognize that the your town name translates to Red Heart, if I'm not mistaken). Also, your Arcanine looked just incredible and was drawn to perfection! I liked the fact that you had a medley of wolf villagers, since they do bear a close resemblance to the Pokemon that you paid homage to. I noticed you also had a good number of villagers with red color schemes -- i.e., Cherry, Drift, Celia -- which was a pretty cool idea if I do say so! The placement of your tiles and public works projects was terrific, and I thought that the zen theme was the best choice for your town. It was fun picking up all the gifts that were scattered around your town too! I am somewhat embarrassed to admit that I fell in more than one pitfall as I walked around, so you definitely kept me on heightened watch as I walked around your town!

Andrew: The gold-customized cabana furniture and dharma set looked great together, and I really liked the fact that you used the yellow aloha tee as your bedspread! That really was such a good idea -- next time I see one of those tees while island-hopping, I think I'll have to buy a bunch for my ow customizing purposes. It's always really cool seeing the sci-fi set in full, and K.K. Adventure was a really neat choice to add to the epic-ness of it. The spooky laboratory in the left-hand room was absolutely chilling! The mannequin with his jester's mask and blood-stained smock was freaky to the max! The back room had a wide range of space-themed objects which took me on an intergalactic ride! I really liked the clothing designs you used on your LED displays as well, the nebula, starry, and twinkle tees were ideal for a room such as this. The upstairs room was very original with its assortment of yellow polka dots and gold customized furniture. The tall display cases were an interesting way of sectioning off the bathroom area. The Egyptian style golden room in the basement was quite a treasure trove as well; you could fill up a bathtub with all those ores and take a gold bath! (As a side-note, when I walked out of Andrew's house, Wolfgang fell in not one, but two pitfalls, which had me cracking up!)

Ronald's house: Ooo, the crimson lighting made your front room look like a real-life red room -- must be that customized Festival lantern that radiated that scarlet light. The Japanese them suited your town wonderfully -- another highly creative room! It looks like you've collected just about every musical instrument for your music room (sadly, my character did not show an aptitude for any of them as I walked around playing each in turn). It's actually been a while since I've seen a Nintendo room, and it seemed like a necessary addition, given the general atmosphere of your town. You achieved a nice balance between the nautical Pascal items and the Japanese-style items/DLC. Your upstairs room also had a kind of deep maroon lighting, and lots of red customized pieces, much in keeping with your town. That cherry tree design looked fantastic on your LED display, and it was a really a uniquely designed rec room as a whole. You had loads of cool stuff in your gorgeous room downstairs -- loved the way that those K.K. album covers corresponded with the colors in the room.

Krystal's house seemed mainly like a holding place for various holiday series -- the harvest, ice, ski, and snowman rooms were all showcased on the main floor. I liked the Gothic touch that was present in the upstairs rococo/doll room, and there were lots of complementary pinks in the mermaid room downstairs.

Phoenix's house: Very clever usage of all the fire-related items in Phoenix's front room. I really liked the rustic, woodsy aura that the cabin furniture exuded, and this seems like a really nice little lodging place during the cold weather months. The spooky and creepy sets on either side contributed to the autumn theme you had going on, and the mush set was another nicely chosen series to display in particular home. You brought Christmastime into the mix in your basement, which was quite a cheery sight, and the sweets set was the cherry on top of the metaphorical cake.

It may have taken me a little while to get to CroiRojo, but it was certainly worth the wait! You were extremely consistent in sticking to the fiery red color palette and remaining faithful to your theme, and the execution of your vision was amazing. This town definitely gets the official silver_shroud seal of approval, and I would highly encourage that others go and visit too.

Town of Paradise:

It's been quite awhile since I've woken up to a town set in the fall, and those honey-colored trees and autumnal brick tiles made me feel so warm and cozy! You had a veritable treasure trove of goodies and doodads for visitors to play with, which is always fun. Also, your dedication to plot resetting is second-to-none! I don't think I would have the patience to get villagers to line up their houses so perfectly, and I am really impressed that you managed to pull that off. Funnily enough, I saw Merengue and Ankha hanging out together when I first embarked on my journey (quite ironic because I just posted a thread about these two, and have been agonizing over which of them to keep as a neighbor). Your hybrid flowers were exquisite and very plentiful. The gold roses looked especially lovely in your fall setting. The flower-lined dirt paths that wove through your orchards made for a scenic route, and you did a nice job of making your various QR codes mesh. And what a cast of villagers!

Marco's house: The main room had a LOT of furniture! The yellowish-gold detailing on the regal furniture and carpet was quite a nice match for the items from the golden set, although I would consider taking out certain pieces (like the extra golden closet, one of the beds, and possibly the Spaceman Sam as he seems a bit out of place when he's not in zero-g) to free up some space. I loved the vivid colors in the upstairs leisure room. The darker blues in the cityscape wall and citrus flooring looked really good alongside one another, and the brighter hues of the orange slice and the polka-dot furniture really made the room pop! The library room to the left also had quite a lot going on as well. If possible, I would try to figure out a way to bring in some extra tables/counters to place the flowers and villager pics on.

Lydia's house: It looks like you're working on turning the main room into some kind of office space -- should be very interesting to see the finished product. The library on the left-hand side was really well done; the fax machine and the magazine racks were great extra details. The classroom in the back was well-arranged, and hospital room/nurse's wing to the right looked clean and antiseptic. The upstairs bathroom was made all the more original with the screens, the deer scare, and the outdoor bath for a soupcon of Japanese flavor -- I'd love to relax in one of those bathtubs with some aromatherapy candles! You had a very complete gym downstairs, and it's a good thing you remembered to provide a shower stall as well for sanitary reasons!

Flyffel's house: The main room had a very unique arrangement and made for a nice little parlor area. The sleek carpet always looks so soft and shaggy, so it's a good thing my little character gets to run around barefooted in dreams. The sushi restaurant, 7-11 room, and dessert bar all tied together very well thematically. I thought it was quite nice that you limited the number of sweets items in the bakery, since that is usually the more common route. Your miniature fossil collection upstairs made for a very impressive exhibit room, and your rec room downstairs was highly creative! The dim lighting really made me feel as though I was in a real-life arcade.

It was wonderful getting to explore your town! I'd definitely recommend it to others!
Thank you very much! :)
Marco's house is so very unfinished as you could tell, the only finished room is really the left one ("library room"). The main room especially is just thrown together as some kind of blingy golden & white joke.
Also, I have to say, even though the asian restaurant room is very full of stuff, I consider it largely unfinished.
I hope that one day I can say my town is at least 98% finished, haha.

Town of Ponyvill:

The candy-colored pastel bricks that you used were very pretty, and the use of borders really made them look extra sharp. Even your 'Please Walk' sign coordinated perfectly with the color scheme of the brick, I noticed. Appropriately enough, I saw lots of candies lining your paths --I'm wondering if that was intentional, like a kind of trail of breadcrumbs but, you know, with candy, or if you simply have them out due to lack of storage space. I personally really liked the way that they looked alongside the paths, and think you could definitely leave them where they are. I am also kind of in love with your villager lineup, as you had a great blend of popular favorites (Marshal, Whitney, Fauna, Beau), marginally less popular but oh-so-lovable cuties (Willow, Gladys, Bluebear), and super rad personal favorites (Freya, Flora, Katt). Yes, there were some dropped fruits/items/gyroids here and there, but they really didn't spoil the overall effect in a major bag. I liked the abundance of flowers, and you had quite a few hybrids as well (mainly of the pink variety, which was apropos!), and some well-placed trees and bushes. I think you might also think about dressing up the areas where you've placed public works projects, as they mostly seemed to be surrounded by bare grass. Using flowers, trees, or bushes in those areas should make for a really eye-catching presentation.

Two of your four houses are still vacant (guessing that the other characters are used for storage purposes as of now), but I saw that you've begun to set up Candy's main room. You have a kind of random smattering of furniture items, but it could definitely turn into a cool little space. I am wondering if you're going to mke it into a more modern room, since you had the flat-screen, the stripe wall, and the sleek item. The front room of Shaylin's house had that dreamy, floaty feeling that often goes hand-in-hand with the cloudy wall and floor. I liked the way you matched pink furniture in this room, and the patchwork items were a cute choice as well. The sleek item seemed a bit out of place with the starker black and silver, but you're definitely off to a good start. You've made very good progress on your kitchen upstairs -- there is certainly still room for more appliances on your alpine and minimalist tables, and there may be other kitchen items that you can get a hold of so that you don't have to display doubles, but once again, this room shows a lot of promise.

Thanks for inviting me to your town, and I wish you all the best in your future ACNL endeavors! :)

Town of Mapleton:

The very first thought I had when I woke in your town was that your pathways were stunningly beautiful. I loved the way that the evening sky accented the rosy-pink bricks, and there's no denying that paths with borders have a polish and sleekness to them. Your town was very lush with its abundance of trees, flowers, and bushes, and the landscaping job that you've done is enviable! I certainly feel your pain about the lack of public works projects suggestions, but I was so caught up in the overall atmosphere of your town it probably would have not even crossed my mind if you hadn't mentioned it! I'd love to see how that picnic area turns out once you've gotten those villagers of yours to cooperate.

Lenora's house is still a humble little one-room space, but kudos on collecting all the items from the cabana series! The dimmer lighting really brought out the forest green coloring in the carpet, so that I almost thought that it was a new/custom designed flooring.

The cabin set always looks so cozy and quaint, and the setup you had in Lila's front room was no exception! I was doubly impressed with the campfire setup you had in the background -- this was a totally original concept that I have not seen before, and I loved what a terrific stage you set using only a handful of items. The lunar horizon was clearly the best possible choice -- sleeping under the stars and all. You had a really cute country-style kitchen going on, and you continued to expand on the cabin theme with all the woodwork upstairs in the bedroom.

Anie's house: The front room was a real feast for the eyes with the gorgeously coordinated blues and greens. The customized chaise longue was an ideal match for the carpet, and the customized classic furniture (violet wood, I think) really pulled the room together. You had plenty of tasty looking food items in your kitchen, and the flooring that you used was not one that I can recall being used before -- definitely a deviation from the norm which is a good think in my book! I felt as though I was transported to differing seasons between the autumnal warmth of the back room, the flower-bedecked springtime room on the right hand side, and the winter wonderland in your basement. The dark reds/burgundies in the upstairs room were a nice choice for a greenhouse style room such as this one, as they had an earthy tone to them. The wall and floor were also wonderfully matched, and your hybrid flowers added a lovely pop of color.

Your town is looking amazing, and I really liked having the opportunity to meet with some villagers that are seldom seen (variety is the spice of life, after all!). Thank you for responding to my thread, and keep it up!

thank you so much for your review for my town;
your right about my name of my town but only one half of the town name is in Spanish,
Rojo is Spanish for red but Cro? is Irish for heart/core.
it almost took a year to make my town the way it is & I'm glad that you & a lot of people enjoy my town hoping to do more in my town of Cro?Rojo.

Town of Can Town:

I was absolutely enthralled by your entire town layout! I felt as though I was on a real life nature walk as I strolled along your flower lined pathways. Your town was so lush and so colorful, I almost didn't even take notice of the fact that it was raining. I was so taken with the amazing amount of flowers that you planted in your town. More impressive still, you managed to make use of all those flowers and still make it very easy to navigate your map without inflicting any damage on the flora. Even the sand on your beaches was outlined with flowers -- something I have not seen before! I really like the alternating colors of the bushes that you used too -- a technique that I am definitely going to employ when I get the urge to landscape again. Your QR tiles were extremely well matched and really flowed naturally into one another. I'm still kind of reeling over the craftsmanship of your town, I wish I could replicate your landscaping skills! (Alas, I fear I am not equal to the task)

Lucinda's house: Beautiful job of coordinating similar colors with the gorgeous set. The carpeting in particular was a superb fit for the room. I liked the extra touch of color that the striped furniture conferred on the minimalist furniture/neutral floor in your kitchen -- you might even think about customizing it a peach pink to match with the sweets player and birthday hat that you have on display. The lovely set in the back room was like visual cotton candy, and the sloppy wall and hammock gave the room a nice lived-in kind of feeling. I don't think I've seen the regal carpet coupled with the library wall floor before, which is surprising because they worked really well in tandem. My only suggestion for this room would be to place some of the floor-bound items (villager pics mostly) on tables. The second floor was a great showroom for many other villager pictures -- I particularly liked the use of the harvest wall here for its swag curtains. The basement was very intriguing with its motley blend of flowers and furniture -- very different to say the least!

Roxy's house: I stepped into a giant chessboard setup and had an existential moment in which I wondered if I weren't just a pawn in this game of life... hehe. This house is obviously still being worked on (good to see the return of the rococo furniture upstairs though; love that set), so I set out for the next location.

Jade's house: So many green and growing things in the front room! I'm kind of a gardening fanatic, so this room was quite appealing to me. Alas, the other rooms are still under construction, so I will just have to wait for your next update to see what other fantastic ideas you dream up for all the new space you have to work with!

Sorry for the late reply silver, I've added more updated since your last visit. Actually, I've added a clover path acrossing the log bench, and under path2's house, but that was before I read your comment! LOl, great minds must think alike xD. Anyhow, would love to have you visit again, and thanks so much for the commenting!

Thank you so much for your lovely review! I visit so many amazing dream towns and feel like my town will never live up to them so it's so nice to hear that you liked me town so much!

Roxy and Jade's houses are definitely still in progress, although I haven't worked on them for a while... they're based on Roxy and Jade from Homestuck's houses but I'm a bit stuck on what to do with the empty rooms atm

I've done a little bit more landscaping since I last updated (Kid Cat moved out and I put a PWP and some flowers/trees where/around where his house was). I'll make sure to post here when I've updated again!

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and review my town! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm still working on it and may change the location of the picnic blanket, I'll be sure to let you know when I update it after it is completely finished, if you'd like to visit again!

Town of Arcadia:

It was incredible how wonderfully the color of your bricks matched the color of the evening sky - you certainly chose the perfect time of day to update your dream. Your QR tiles looked beautiful in all of their flowery, pastel loveliness, and the bordered paths and waterways were wonderfully placed and very sharp looking. You had a wealth of flowers, many of which were hybrids, (the alternating rows of pink, purple, and white roses were especially delightful), and the pink and white azaleas flowering on the myriad bushes you planted around your village were a gorgeous accent. Really excellent job on laying down your paths. I'm betting that the empty space just to the right of Chevre's house is going to be the future site for some public works projects, or you could possibly put an orchard in that section if you wanted to go that route. I loved the fact that I got to see some new faces in your town as well! I have Rudy and Bianca in one of my towns and love them both to pieces, but each and every one of them were adorable in their own right.

Emmy's house: The front room was definitely different from what I was expecting based on the color scheme of the landscape. It was cool to have a bit of contrast to the pastels though. The middle of the room still seemed a bit bare, but I liked the little pink detailing that the customized rococo furniture and chaise longue brought. The customized violet screen was a great fit too! The Pave wall was a really nice choice for your kitchen (why didn't I think of that?). The table looked great in the kitchen too, especially since it comes with a kind of built-in tablecloth already! I might suggest swapping out the the chairs, since the the Pave ones look more like armchairs, but then again, they *do* match the walls and the other pieces from the set. The princess and egg rooms seem to still be in the process of being assembled, but wow! the upstairs room was something else! It's amazing what a difference swapping out the carpet can make. I would have never thought of using that combination (alpine rug with rococo furniture), but the results speak for themselves! It looks like the downstairs is a kind of bathing/washing area, and I really liked the way that the arched windows gave the illusion of daylight and blue sky in the background.

Aaron's house still seems to be in the process of being decorated, but you seem to have already set up your creepy laboratory in the basement (you could easily leave it at the current size if you wanted to), and what appears to be the beginnings of a doctor's office in the back room.

It was a real treat getting to visit your town, and I am very interested in seeing how your town develops as you continue to update!

It's been a shamefully long time since I've journeyed through the land of dreams, so I think it's high time I rectified that. To those of you who wrote in to late me know that you have updated, I will be visiting you again as soon as may be!

Town of Skullbay:

I was completely taken in by the rainbow spectrum of tulips that you planted around your plaza area. All of your floral arrangements were beautiful in fact - I adored the way you combined different colors and breeds around your town. Everything was so vibrant and full of life, between the rows of flourishing trees and the innumerable bush starts, all gorgeously alternated. I think it was a good idea to choose a nice neutral color for your path, so as not to upstage the natural splendor of your colorful gardens. You had a great number of public works projects, all of which were smartly placed -- I especially liked the double fountains just below Stalfos's house surrounded in a sea of assorted pink and blue flowers.

I must say that I was also in love with the exterior of your house. In fact, the black and blue color scheme is exactly what I'm going for in my new town, so I made sure to snap some pictures for futures reference. I really liked the way you mixed up your main gorgeous room with a different floor, and those gyroids blended with the color of the furniture perfectly! Again, the gyroids in your egg room added an extra quirk that somehow worked perfectly with the Easter theme (what says springtime more than the sound of literal springs?). The gold customized cabana furniture has a beautiful reflective luster that made it seem as though it was giving off real sunlight. I really liked the contrast between the posh rococo furniture and library wall and the more worn, dilapidated look of the floor. It added to the subtle spookiness inherent to the rococo set (at least, I think it's kinda eerie, but I'm totally into that). I was quite literally on cloud nine in your upstairs room (forgive me for the terrible pun). The cloud flooring and the lunar surface really made me feel as though I'd been elevated into another stratosphere, and the princess furniture was an ideal fit. The downstairs laboratory was quite a radical departure from the upstairs, but man, you sure do creepy very, very well (meant as a compliment!). I can only imagine the kinds of diabolical experimentation that must go on down there, but I figured it would be unwise to stick around for too long, lest a reanimated corpse suddenly emerge from the shadows. :O

You've got a fantastic cast of villagers (Flora, Savannah, and Rory are all underrated gems) and you are clearly a pro at landscaping, floral arrangements, and really everything else that the game entails. You've done a really great job with your town, and I hope that lots of other people go and experience Skullbay for themselves.

Town of Eterna:

I know it's been ages since you've asked for my suggestions on the landscape of your town, so I hope that I'm not too late in offering a bit of advice. I will be the first to admit that landscaping/civic planning is not my forte, but I will do my best to offer constructive commentary. Firstly, I was extremely impressed with the paths that you created for your town - I wish I had the ability to create my own designs (and actually have them look any good), and yours really looked professional grade. I see that you have already built quite a few public works projects; I personally tend to frame my PWPs either with tiles, flowers, bushes/trees, or any combination of these together. Actually, I saw that you did that with your archway sculpture, which looked really really nice. It looks like you are/were in the middle of breeding hybrids, so once you've grown enough flowers, you'll probably want to start placing some of them a bit more strategically, although it looks as though you have definitely already begun to do so in many areas. I noticed you had quite a few clovers growing in your town -- I think that placing lucky clovers in various regions of your map would look great if you could get a hold of them! I saw that you had some gray brick tiles leading out below your cafe and in the topmost part of your town where your character's houses are, and I think that the combination of those bricks and the clover would look excellent. You've already planted a large number of bush starts which is definitely something that I like to see -- having those clean angles really give the landscape a more finished look. You could probably use some more bushes and/or trees in the upper left-hand section of your map (around Tex's and Monty's houses), but you're clearly already off to a roaring start.

I know you said that your houses are mainly for storage, but I had to take a quick peek anyway, and I should add that I really liked the entrance room to the green house and I hope that continue to expand on that theme with some of your other rooms too! The front room in your mayor's house was quite nice as well -- a few miscellaneous items, but lots of warm colors and a cool little showcase hall for trophies and other valuables. I really liked the blue and yellow custom-made tile flooring that I saw as well in the back room of your turnip mule's house.

I'd love to see how much progress you've made next time you update! You've already laid down a great foundation, and you seem to already have all the tools for making an extraordinary town at your disposal. Keep on building it up!
