I can't find this darn thing! I even tried the island but all I find is other bugs. Anyone have any tips on finding it?

It's easy to find. Cut a regular tree on the island, then come at night. It's usually there at 11pm.

Wait, you mean they appear on stumps and not the tree itself? .-.

Could be your town too, just need a tree stump. Probably the easiest on the island where you can control other bugs from spawning.

Dont forget that the violin beetle also appears only on a stump.
