No, I'm not a weeaboo. Weeaboos are people who think they know everything about Japan, but all they know is anime manga, and they try to speak the language, though they only know a few words that they use over and over again (and often in the wrong context, such as "otaku"), and they don't even know kana and kanji. I'm no weeaboo. I genuinely care about Japanese culture. I'm actually learning the language in college, not because I want to be able to understand the original Japanese episodes of my favorite manga or any of that nonsense, but because I'm interested in the language. And the fact that I type in Japanese every once and awhile on here doesn't mean anything. There are people here who type in other languages like Spanish, Dutch, etc. here, too. I just do it whenever I feel like doing it, and it's good practice.

Weeaboos are Japan nerds, whether it has to do with loving anime or it's culture, it doesn't matter if they actually can speak the language or not. Weeaboos aren't classifications of people, they're stereotypes, one which you'd fit the bill with most people.

That said, it's not really a big deal unless you hail Japan as some nerd Mecca or something like that. If you are genuinely interested in a culture then it's no big deal what people think about it, besides people should be interested in other cultures.

Kinda, yeah. I don't know where the name "Japan" came from, since it's called 日本 ("Nihon", sometimes "Nippon", though that's an old pronunciation that isn't used nowadays) in Japanese (日本語; "Nihongo").
