Little acts of kindness in ACNH

There have been a few threads about being scammed and stolen from lately. Fortunately, that's never happened to me. But I have had people from this forum be really kind to me so I thought I'd share some positivity and I'd love to hear your stories too!

I'm not going to name names because there's been so many it'd be like an Oscars speech and I'd be worried I missed someone. So here's a few recent examples (those I don't mention I haven't forgotten - thank you again!)

I did a quick trade with someone in the Southern Hemisphere this morning and when I got home and checked my pockets (I never check during a trade because I'm too trusting, haha) I found an extra treat - some frozen treats!

A little while ago I dropped some stacks of clay off to someone who needed them. They gave me a wrapped gift, which I wasn't expecting, and when I got home I discovered it was a butterfly model! They're the only models I collect and I didn't have this one

Also, the very first person from this forum to visit my island dropped off some NMTs and other nice things and told me to pay it forward, so I try to help people out on here whenever I can!

Generally, people have been very nice on the trading forums. (I mostly use Reddit.)

I can remember a few of them. I was hosting a give away of different items/clothes on my island, and most people leave 10,000 bell tips, which is nice. Then this dude came, when I was almost done with the giveaway, and left me with two real paintings. That was just so sweet.

Another time, I went to some girl's Giveaaway, and she felt bad because I arrived late, when there were like 10 items left on the ground. So, she crafted me a moon chair. I didn't even ask for it, and absolutely loved it.

I have met some really nice people here. Right in the beginning I remember being over the moon when someone crafted the whole ironwood set for me for free. I had people PM me and give me seasonal items for free because they saw I was being overcharged in a thread! ❣

awe those stories are so nice!! i remember when i did my first trade for new horizons, i was nervous as i hadn’t traded with people i so long and the girl i was trading with gave me a wrapped present! it was a mini pleather bag, my first bag in the game, and it was such a tiny gesture but i wasn’t expecting a gift at all and was very grateful!

also anytime someone compliments my island makes my heart warm - i’m not the best at decorating stuff and so to hear that some people like what i’m doing with my island so far is really nice - i’ve also gotten compliments on my island rep’s appearance which makes me feel really nice, too ^_^

i also had @Hobowire give me a bunch of artwork for free a while back - he didn’t have to do that at all but he’s very kind and i’m super appreciative of him!

@jihux also gave me the remaining posters i needed to complete my collection for free - again, not necessary at all but she’s helped me a lot and i’m grateful to her, too

@Blink. is also the epitome of kindness - she’s expanded my diy collection so much and even made some gorgeous art for me + gave me some fishbait and she’s just wonderful c’:

This forum is reaaally good for kindness in comparison to other sites. I’ve never had any issues at all on here. Everyone is just so nice I always try to pay it forward too!

I breed hybrids just to give them to people I trade with (when I remember to that is) and to use as currency (like you know offer fruit and stuff). I always bring at least one. :3 Might have to do a giveaway one of these days they're taking over lol. Not sure if I can keep up with too many peeps on my island at once though.

As for others (I forgot to add that whoopsie) uuum...I might have this wrong, but I think @Deca gave me some npc posters in exchange for a painting from Redd! I still am super happy about that! I'm pretty sure it was Deca.

Honestly people take how kind and wholesome the ACNH community actually is. I'm a very frequent trader on discord (nookazon, TBT and the ACNH one) and also on here and i can say I've NEVER had a bad experience with someone intentionally being scummy. The worst experience I've had wasn't even intentional, it was just someon who couldn't pay for an auctioned villager that I needed to get rid of quickly.
The community is absolutely incredible!
I once had someone PM me because they saw that one of my old dreamies was Kidd and so they offered to give him to me for free! Just little things like that warm my heart so much and that's why I love it here
