Yeah, basically after Stitches moved from my town I didn't feel like continuing with it since to me there wasn't any point to keep my town once he left. I didn't want to do the 16 villager cycle because I already had all my dreamies so I just restarted. I restarted my town March 1st and I love it! I have Stitches back and very happy with how it's shaping up.
