Letters from Dad??

I've NEVER gotten a letter from Dad in all of my years playing animal crossing. But today I got one on my new game and it said "How ya doing? Made any friends? Eating enough? Your mom is always worrying about you!"

Update: there was a red carnation in the letter

He rarely writes letters to the player, since the "mom" does all the writing most of the time. But he does write once in a blue moon and on Father's Day.

I've gotten a few from "Dad" in the game, but not many.
You always get one on Father's Day, as far as I am aware.
I don't know why they chose to program "dad" only writing you occasionally.​

Never realized that but I don't think I have ever got one from him. I've never had it on during Father's Day though, so I'll see this year I gues.

Maybe it depends on what gender / how you answer the questions when getting your face at the start of the game.

yeah, i play as a girl and i don't think i've ever gotten letters from dad, even on father's day.

I've had the same town for two years, so I've gotten a lot of letters from both parents :3

If that's the case, then I don't think gender effects which parent sends you more letters, I play as a boy and I can't remember getting any letters from dad.

My main character, doesn't get a lot of letter from both parents, but the others characters that I don't use everyday get a lot of them. I think parents write more when you don't play.

Also the red carnation is what you get on Father's day.

I think you get one yearly (along with father's day) and he gives you money..... and when your a newbie mayor starting out, that money can be super useful...

What day is it in your town if its Father's day, he would send you a letter and give a red carnation. and dad does send letters like once every few months
