If you've played any Pokémon game, do you think it's okay to use legendary Pokémon in the game or is it a bit wrong?
I prefer not to use them.

I always use them, lol especially for Elite 4 or equivalents, mostly cause I cba training a perfect team for whatever. I'm more of a collector and casual player so honestly it's up to you and neither is right/wrong from that aspect.

Depends on the legendary, but for me I always capture them. I try to SR for a good nature, but if the cutscenes are too long (looking at you Eternatus) I may try for the most usuable one. I usually use the legendary for the first playthrough, especially against the E4s and Champions. As for the post-game, I may or may not use them, depending on the kind of team I want.

There is nothing wrong with using legendaries tho I also prefer not to use them to give myself more of a challenge.

It's perfectly fine to use legendary Pokemon. I used them all the time as a kid, lol. Though these days, I do try and avoid using them and just have a full team that I use throughout the game before ever reaching the legendary.

i personally don't like using them because i always plan out my team ahead of time and don't like straying from it in any way (i always feel like it's cheap to replace a pokemon i've raised for 50 levels with a legendary for the e4 Personally), but there's nothing wrong with using them at all if that's what someone wants to use! team comp is always up to the individual.

When I was younger, I'd use legendaries that I liked. These days though, I usually stay away from them, at least until post game when I might level them up for fun. Currently leveling up Zacian, since my main team is already at lv100.

But it's really up to the player, I think. I don't see the harm in using them.

I don't really like to. By the time you get them in the game, I'm already attached to my team. If it's not allowed in comp I don't tend to use them, as well. But I also plan out my team in advance and IV breed them, something impossible with legendaries, so another reason not to use them. To me it feels like cheating just a bit.

On the contrary, anyone who does absolutely should :) I say use the Pokemon you like.

i don't see how it would be wrong to use legendary pokemon. if anything, i feel disdain for people who judge those who do. it's your game, use whatever pokemon you want to. i used solgaleo several times during my USUM playthrough because he's my favorite legendary (although i don't think i used him for the E4; that was just my eeveelution team), and i probably used kyogre during my ORAS playthrough at some point too. i didn't use one in SWSH, but that's mostly because i don't care for the two dogs and was able to transfer over my eeveelution team so i had no need to.

I know there's the collection aspect, but personally, it feels like a bit of a waste for them to make the Legendaries and for us to capture them if they're just going to sit and accumulate virtual dust in the PC Box.

I always plan my teams ahead of a playthrough and breed them/capture them in other games (aside from the first playthrough of a generation) and trade them over. Or, well, I did that up until the Switch games since I don't have two Switches. But anyway, I see no problem with either adding the Legendaries to the team directly or planning their inclusion in a team in a different game/playthrough. On some occasions, I've planned and put together teams that included specific Legendaries as permanent members of a team from the start, with the only matter being earning the badge/permission necessary to use the Legendary at whatever level they are.

Never really used them in competitive since I've only done competitive to get participation rewards from official events, some events here on the forums, and a few battles with friends over the years. However, I see no reason not to use them in a competitve setting either, so long as both parties agree to allow them to be used.

I like to keep the legendaries that I caught myself/gotten from events in their "original, unused" state but I have no problem using the dubious legendaries I've picked up from other people's saves/WT over years. I don't play competitively but I usually get bored by the time I get to the Elite 4/final trainers, etc. and use them to speed up the process.

In my opinion, no, if you’re paying competitively. I hated seeing teams of only legendary Pokémon or primarily legendaries. They give you an unnecessary advantage being more powerful. I don’t play Pokémon competitively or battle online, so I don’t really care. I just see them as an unfair advantage to get your win count up. I’ve never used a legendary Pokémon on my team during casual play. I use Pokémon that I like. There were a few occasions I didn’t evolve my Croconaw into a Feraligatr, simply because I prefer Croconaw.

If I obtain a legendary Pokémon, I will store it in the PC at the Pokémon Center. It won’t ever be in my party. If anything, I use them for trade bait. I won’t judge anyone for using legendaries though, competitively or not. It’s not my place to tell people what they should or shouldn’t do. I’m just sharing my stance on this whole ordeal.

I don't know if this counts, but I am currently using Manaphy in my team and they are sweeping the floor with tail glow + bubble beam! I thought it would be nice to use Manaphy since you can get their egg early in the game (in BDSP) and witness levelling them up from scratch. I found myself very attached to my Manaphy so I decided to add them to my main team! <3

Honestly, the main challenge for me right now is using Gen IV Pokemon I've never used before or don't see often in Sinnoh teams. So early-game Pokemon like Starly, Shinx, and Buizel were out LOL. Manaphy felt like the perfect addition to my team since I personally didn't see Manaphy a lot when people posted their BDSP teams, plus Manaphy is extra cute so it makes me happy walking around with them! <33

Back on the topic, I don't mind people using legendaries in their team, since I was like that when I was a kid. I somehow got attached to Palkia post-game because I used to bring them everywhere with me when I was young. If you really like a Pokemon, regardless if they're really strong or even a legendary, then I say just use them!

I catch Legendaries and just shove them in the PC.

Partially I'm just not fond of legendaries. Whether it be the design of them or that I'm just not into the appeal of having this super rare powerful and highly desirable thing everybody wants. I would rather have my crap tier Pokemon I caught at the start of the game than a literal god. When a new legendary gets revealed for a game, I'm far more invested in what the turd Pokemon that'll probably be on route 1 are.

I also just don't want to replace team members I've gotten attached to. I don't care about catching all the Pokemon, I only catch the ones I like or like the look of. It's not unusual for me to finish a game having only caught about 12 Pokemon, so a legendary has to be super cool for me to replace one of them...Which so far has never happened.

I think using legendaries is fine, but I prefer not to. Anyone can easily beat the Elite Four and Champion Cynthia with Dialga or Palkia in BD/SP but it's more fun and challenging to beat the game without a legendary. I did use pseudo-legendaries like Moltres and Suicune on my in-game teams as a child, but I prefer using my favorite Pokemon. In X, I used less powerful Pokemon like Vespiquen and Aurorus, so I had some difficulty battling Lysandre and the Kalos Elite Four. I also had some trouble against Giovanni and Team Rainbow Rocket in Ultra Sun since I didn't use Solgaleo on my team. Overall, I think using OP legendaries can be cheap, but if you want to use them on your in-game teams then by all means go ahead.

If I like their design and they're somewhat strategically viable, I use them.

I don't play competitively, so I'm not really concerned with whatever rules apply to that area.

I try not to use them, and only use them as a last resort.

Unless its competitive, then gimme all the legendaries.

I don't care what the competitive community says, I hate the use of legendaries in any form. If other Pokemon are just as good, then why do so many big teams have like 3-4 legendaries on them? I realize there ARE Pokemon with similar stats, but realistically legendaries get their name for a reason. Everyone ends up using the same teams and it's just so boring. I love collecting legendaries but I never use them online unless it's for a raid battle in Sword/Shield. Now using them in-game against like gym leaders or other NPCs I say go crazy, who cares?
