Leaving space for future shops?

Yes I have a cafe I'm willing to tear down to create another shopping area to mirror my current shopping area.

I have a lot of extra space reserved for now, but it's hard to keep planning my island since there's no way of knowing just how many shops to consider space for.

While I never planned out specific spots, I'll be able to accommodate any future shops on my island, since I planned for the central part of my island to be the hub for all the shops.

I haven't considered future shops, but my town is like 5% done so I don't have to worry too about tearing anything down yet.

I haven't intentionally left space for them, but I think I should have plenty of space to put any future shops~

Yep, I've made sure I have room for a cafe (the Roost! Brewster! I need coffee!) and a dream suite.

I keep thinking the cafe will come in autumn and the dream suite in winter. Because autumn is about keeping warm and cosy again and winter is about hibernating until spring. (I'm probably wrong. But I'm hoping I'm not.)

Honestly, I still have so much empty space on my island that just I don’t know what to do with so if we don’t get any more buildings, I’ll be pretty disappointed.

I left a large area north of my museum/town square/nooks area for future shops. Right now it's just excess flowers/trees and a meditation garden.

I have an empty space I can put more buildings into, but I'm hoping I don't need to tbh. I'm probably in the minority but I'd rather them not add a bunch of new buildings. I'd rather they put things into the Museum or the upstairs of the Nooklings/Ables.

Not a fan of empty spaces so I'm not leaving any, if there's future updates that include new buildings, I can easily rearrange stuff and make room. Nothing's ever really set in stone.

Honestly haven't thought of that ;o; maybe it's a good thing a good chunk of my island is sort barren

I left some areas for future shops, however, the area isn’t too huge so I hope they don’t add too much shops. In the mean time, I plan to make the area a fairground type area then would just shrink it if they add more shops. For the Roost, I do have a separate area for it should they add it.

I have around 35% of my island in a sort if WIP mode in case any new features are added. Truth be told, I'm also waiting to get more DIYs and furniture items before I work on them. So new updated content really isn't the only thing I'm waiting on.

Still a WIP, but I have a nice open spot in my residential area that would be perfect for Brewster.
But I am keeping it at the back of my mind while planning.

I've built an outdoor café area with 4 tables that's going to be repurposed into the Roost when it eventually comes <3 I've left plenty of space (assuming it's as big as Ables, which it should imo). As for other buildings... yeah I'm going to struggle. Hopefully the Dream Suite and Re-Tail (if it comes back) are not too big :(

I didn't specifically leave space for future shops. I simply happened to end up with ample extra space. So if/when they are released, I thankfully won't have any issues finding a place for them. It just happened to work out that way, though, I didn't plan it.

I actually kept this in mind but thanks for reminding me. I think if there's new shops I know where I'll add them anyway. Will have to remove various items but that's fine
