Some of the DLC and items in the game are rather.... strange.
Why do we have a cat tower? Or a dog house? Or a suitcase?
I honestly can't think of a combination of items where I would use these things in my house... I also kind of question the "construction" themed items... Has anyone ever put together a classroom set in their house?

What would be some other items that would be rather useless in decorating a house or not wanted for trading?
The only thing I came up with that wouldn't go with any set or theme in the game was a car engine.

So, question A, what do you think the least used items in the game are? (up to 5)
Question B, what would be some hilariously bad DLC items you'd come up with? (up to 5)

I would totally use a car engine, it'd fit right into my creepy Frankenstein mad science room!
On that note I don't think it's possible to think of an item someone, somewhere isn't weird enough to use...

Personally I find the fedora chair pretty baffling. Like, why. Why would you even.

I think it'd be fun to try to incorporate a kooky item like the fedora chair into a room design. I like fedoras for some weird reason,I know, a lot of people think they're hideous, lolol. I think they're charmingly cheesy and adorkable. I actually love the Cat Tower because I'm a crazy cat lady.

Some are odd though, I can agree, like the Fireworks Table and Full Moon Vanity. They're so large and oddly colored, I'd never know how to tie them into a theme. ><

The fireworks table was the first DLC I got, and I put it immediately in the flea market. Same with the Rice Plant Bed.

The raccoon wall clock however, is great.

I've seen a very awesome classroom in a dream town :D People get creative with these things! Some items are baffling, though, I'll agree. Fedora chair is right up there with "what were they thinking??"

^ See, I feel completely the opposite way! I don't have a raccoon wall clock but I've seen it and I think they're daft. I think the fireworks table is awesome. I didn't have ACNL when it was around but someone in my HHA showcase has it and I keep meaning to order one. You'd probably hate my house LOL

Rice plant bed does suck though, agree on that one ;)

EDIT: That was @ Walking Stick.

Ahahaha, really? ^_^; See, I'm hoping to find a rice plant bed so I can use it in my wheat field room. I really like the wheat field item....

Yes, I'm totally making a wheat field room but I'd have no idea what to do with a classroom set. Derp. :'D

I love the wheat field. I have a couple at the entrance into my main room, so you have to walk thru it to get into the room. Everytime I walk into my house, it makes me smile. The fedora chair is pretty lame.

The pile of leaves isn't creative imo. It looks so ugly, though I might use it in an outdoor themed room.

The rice plant bed wasn't a really good idea. I didn't like the fireworks table either, since it doesn't really fit in a theme and it's so large. I really like any of the kitchen themed DLC items though; I think most of them (maybe all?) were released as BestBuy DLC with Wi-Fi or whatever. :)

The fedora hat is definitely something I can't imagine incorporating into many rooms. though I actually like the cat tower, I just don't have a "normal house" themed place to put it...

I think the campus set is the most useless. it only really looks good with itself, and that's only if you want a room of giant school supplies!

I like the fedora chair cuz it was my first DLC in City Folk.
Some European DLC are just normal in-game items. Japan got a golden clock, which you can already get. Yeah, it's easier to obtain that way, but why not make a new golden item like City Folk did with some sets? The items would more than likely be released in other countries too if they did that.

The RPB is atrocious, I just kind of have it in the corner of one of my personal exhibits, in case someone's looking for it on the forums.

I'm neutral around most of the DLCs that have been released thus far, however the pile of leaves was by far the worst. Nintendo lost some creativity points there.

aww i love the cat tower :> i put it in my 'cozy' room. reminds me of my cat lol >.>

i think dlcs like fedora chair and fireworks table are kind of.. hard to incorporate into a room, though.
