Leap Year Reset 29/02/2016 Challenge

So after I posted http://www.belltreeforums.com/showthread.php?348844-Leap-Year-Reset it sounds like a lot of you are interested in doing this with me. So this is the official thread for this challenge!

I have started it one month ahead of our start date to give us plenty of time to really think hard about town names, what fruit we want, what layout we want, which mayor look we want and who our dreamies are. Hopefully this will stop us wanting to reset later!

I'm going to set optional rules for this thread. The reason they are optional is because we all have different styles of playing and I don't want anyone feeling restricted when playing and want to give up the challenge (we're going for four years here, guys!)

4 years will take us to the next leap year, but the goal here is to keep this town for as long as YOU can, whether that's 4 years, one year or one month

The only rule you must follow is this: On 29/02/2016 you must take a picture of your new Mayor stood next to your town tree as a baby sapling. Then each year take a picture from the exact same spot (we'll do March 1st until 2020) to see how we've progressed

Spoiler: Optional Rules

1) No time travelling - try to let your town develop naturally, it won't take more than 4 years to get it done
2) No transferring anything over from current towns - obtain furniture, bells, tools through your new town. You may trade with friends or here on the forums to get those things you really want.
3) Plot resetting is allowed - it would honestly take forever to try to get dreamies in the right place without it!

Sorry if I've upset you? I took your post to mean that you'll start a challenge thread if I don't. You never messaged me to discuss it or anything so I just went ahead with it.

Are you sure you're going to make it a goal to keep the town for 4 years? I know nobody will stick to that, since a) by that time a new AC game will have released b) New Leaf hasn't even been out for 4 years yet and c) the problem won't be not resetting during that time, but even still playing since in the coming 4 years you are bound to leave ACNL behind at some point.
I love the idea, but I think you could best just make it one year or until the end of the year, because I don't think a single person will reach the 4 year goal (as fun as it sounds)!

I'm not expecting anyone to commit to 4 years, I know that's never going to happen. I'm just putting 4 years because that takes us to the next leap year. I'll make that clearer on the first post though.
