Seems like whoever said there would be Animal Crossing on today's direct deleted their Twitter account. I don't know why so many people believe rumours, if they're right it's just a coincidence.

Welp, that was a bust. Never trust anything that says it's happening on the first of the month. Those are *always* placeholder dates.

Further, IIRC, most Directs are Thursday anyways.
