I wanna start landscaping my town, but I don't really have any ideas. My town is named after a city in Skyrim, but I don't exactly want a medieval town. Maybe more natural whimsical cutesy? I search QR codes all the time but I would like to see what you guys have as well. ~ I am going to be planting all kinds of trees. I just don't know where to start- I have always just let my town be natural.

I know exactly how you feel right now. I personally can't be of much help as I'm just starting to fix up my town, but something I do is I go in the dream suite. I would highly suggest getting it if you don't have it already. There are many amazing designs and I'm sure you'll find one to inspire you. But if you need some help cutting down trees or pulling out weeds etc., I'd be happy to help.
I feel like my town is so ugly in comparison to so many others I've seen on the dream suite! I think a big part of my problem is my villagers placement. It's difficult to build a path to all of their houses. I can visit your town in the dream suite later tonight, and let you know what I think?

I didn't really care about landscaping for the first few months of my town... I just built pwps and planted stuff wherever i wanted to. after a while of checking out other dream towns i decided i wanted to change it so i tried to figure out what i wanted in my town :>
I decided on what to do with certain areas (for example; i really wanted a moai face statue so i built one and put some plants around it in a way that looked good) and then i started working like that, area by area
i go to a lot of dream towns for inspiration.... idk
i got rid of all of my qr paths a while ago because i decided to have a more natural town with dirt and clover paths instead :>
I think you should start with one area and try and see what you like and what you don't like!! also think about some pwps you want to have in your town

I think I am going to start by cutting down all my trees and putting my flowers on the beach. then ill set my paths... I just need some paths in the first place lol. I already have set most of my PWPs, but I think I am going to destroy one of them... I really have no idea where I am going with this

im almost done landscaping my town but i saw a really helpful post a few weeks ago saying to take it slow. so what i did was cut my town in half vertically and horizontally and i would work on one chunk for a while. of course paths i had to finish in one go.
for paths i found it was easier to just start on them instead of trying to map out where you want them. also just in case you dont know this is how paths are laid:

with one being where your mayor is standing. i hope that helps/makes sense. id also start buying your bushes, bamboos, tree starts asap because it seems like when you start needing them no one sells them ;-;

I think a fantasy themed town would be really cute and cool. I didn't plan out my paths when I had them, I just started laying them down and figuring it out as I went thru my town. I might have some dream reccs if you're interested.
Yeah, I mean in ACCF I would lay down paths and put flowers all over and line my paths but ACNL has so many options with the PWP, bushes, more flowers... I just dont know what exactly I want!

i started my paths at the train station, my home, my bridges and at re-tail
I just did a bunch of landscaping in my town recently :3 I ended up wasting all my pink hydrangea starts though because the pattern I planted them in didn't work (a few died and it just didn't look right). I have some cute path designs you might like c: you can visit my town if you want, I keep all my paths in Able Sisters ^~^ pm me if you're interested!
